We decided to go and celebrate a special day at the venue. The restaurant has a spacious, minimalistic, industrial look that goes well with the location and lush greenery. Ample seating available indoor, outside on a small terrace.

It has a limited static menu with starter, main and dessert options; but the options sound decadent and mouth-watering. There is quite a variety of cocktails on their cocktail menu and their wine list is adequate, making me think it’s more of a hangout than an eatery.

We had their Angus fillet and it was tender from the first to the last bite and eye pleasing presented. We tried their Green pepper as well as their Feta sauce and can recommend both.

The only drawback for us that that we had a terrible waiter. We poured our own bubbly, when I wanted to discuss the doneness of the meat, he stated that he will be with us in a jiffy and then continued to serve the patrons outside. I switched food with my partner, as mine was more done than his, as we gave up waiting. I wanted to ask for a different spoon (for the dessert) but he continued to serve the patrons outside as the spoon smelled of egg (a terrible smell if you are eating).

What was just terribly inconsiderate, not to mention irresponsible, is that none of your staff are wearing masks? With a pandemic raging, I honestly thought that there would be more consideration for the health and well-being of your staff, not to mention your patrons.

Notwithstanding, we had a lovely evening and will go back to try some of the different items on the menu as there was sure some decadent items. Will just wait for...

What a delightful surprise to find this lovely restaurant between beautiful lush trees and walking up to the open seating area, it's covered with colorful umbrellas. We were seated close to the pizza oven area, which on this chilly day was the best place to sit. After ordering our drinks, we shared a foccacia, smothered with mozzarella and garlic, leaving us wanting more, but sadly we needed space for what was coming. For our main meal, we ordered a Buttermilk fried chicken burger (two rather large pieces of chicken fillet) an American Smash Burger, both burgers served with chips, a yummy spicy mayo and onion rings. The 500g T-bone steak came with a trio of yummy sauces, a brandy pepper, a jalapeño Cheese and a chimmichurri sauce, with chips and a topping of sundried tomato's. Our meal was so tasty, compliments to the chef! Seeing they also had a Sushi menu, we just had to have a takeaway and took two vegetarian platters. Diep in die Berg has such tasty food, friendly Staff and just a feel-good vibe all round. A place where we know we...

What a nice location for breakfast, it almost feels like you are far out of the city in the bush. We went for breakfast recently as we were looking for somewhere other than the obligatory mall restaurants and we were quite impressed. The venue is clean and looks modern but still welcoming. The menu had a good selection of breakfast items with meat lovers and vegetarian options. I chose their steak egg and chips and when it arrived I was quite pleased with the portion and the sauce was delicious, unfortunately the steak itself was a bit tuff..almost if it was more steamed than fried. My partner enjoyed everything about his veggie omlette. Our server was not the fastest but I appreciated that they don't keep interrupting your meal. The chef I believe also came by the table, not something you see much these days. The one annoyance however is that we were there a bit early and they were still moving tables and benches around us but this can be avoided if you get there maybe 30min later. All in all a good...

Easily accessible but be ready to drive on steeps. Free wifi available. Parking is always full, but you will be able to find one after all. There is security at the boom gate. Food presentation is 9/10. The food itself is 8/10 only because people won't believe me when I say its 10/10. Waitresses are so friendly. You will leave the place full and satisfied. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. For those that do not drink, expect to pay R30 +for non alcoholic drinks. For those that do drink, expect to pay R50 or so for drafts. Bottle of wine ranges from R290 or so. Glass of wine ranges from R70 +. Cocktails from R85 or so if not mistaken. Their burgers are huge, steaks are well prepared. Their battered hake is to die for, desserts are also huge in portion, so overall it is value for money. Remember to take pics under the umbrellas near the reception. Wheelchair accessibility =Yes For the ladies there is an intimate spa at the far back of the garden where there are pink umbrellas.
