The only thing for me that was good about the restaurant was the scenery and the space outside. It is pet friendly and many people bring their dogs. If you have a lot of small kids then that's also a nice space for them.
But I had MANY SERIOUS concerns. The first thing was the fact that the isn't enough of anything for the customers. There weren't enough menus for the customers (I came with a group of 4. We only got 2 menus and throughout they kept asking to give our menues to other tables). The waiters had to keep moving sauces around between us (the customers) because there weren't enough as well. The second thing is the amount of money for the food. Things in this restaurant are over priced and the 10% tip is fixed in. I personally don't mind paying a lot of money for food or tipping my waiters, but it becomes an issue when the food is not of the same quality as what was paid for. To put it simply, the food was less quality than what you would receive at a Tashas, but about the same price if not more. Not to mention we had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, and our fries were over cooked (one of our orders was also wrong and we got an extra serving of fries which was then suppose to be free.. but mid meal the waiters took the fries away without asking). A big thing about this place I did not understand was the waiters constantly coming to ask if we were done to take our plates, or just randomly taking plates away. I understand they were busy and didn't have enough space, but for the customers that were already there, this quiet rude and uncalled for. Granted, I under they were busy and probably frustrated, but randomly taking half full plates and glasses, declaring your customers done, is not how situations like that should be handled. Immediately after we paid fod our meal, one of the waitresses come to our table with a group of people and told us (not in a rude way, but we weren't given a choice) to leave so they could sit.
In my opinion, green olive is over-priced and they do not have enough equipment, and maybe staff, to handle the amount of customers they get adequately. I would not recommend this place.
Just a side note, they do play a lot of church music. It's not a bad or a good thing but keep that in mind. This restaurant is next to a...
Read moreAfter my previous review, the owner and the management team contacted me. I visited this amazing place again today and experience a total different place, because my view also changed. What a wonderful and peaceful place where clients is family, staff are compassionate and friendly. Annette and team, thank you for handling our challenge wrt Christmas day so calmly and perfectly. I am so happy that we could sit down and talked to each other and also have a connection for life. Next time I will try other ways to solve problems BUT out of a negative experience a wonderful Positive relationship was born. May you and your staff be blessed in abndance with lots of wisdom too. The past is gone, and we learn from our mistakes. Now we stretch ourselves out to the future because we know that God is with us.
We booked for christmas lunch on 24 November for our family already. When we arrived there yesterday the Manager on duty were extremely rude expecting is with a baby and my mom of 84 years to sit outside in the soaking rain. He claimed.that when the booking was made we requested an outside table which was a TOTAL LIE. I trust that the person in charge of this place will please get in contact with me as this was a very unpleasant and unncessary experience if the manager was just doing his job....very dissapointed. And we were not the only people that was treated like this. One star is also not even fair towards the way this problem...
Read moreThe location is set out and away from most noise with lovely scenery. Lots of large old trees and arches with vines and lights. I assume they cater to events because they have a part where they turned all the tables to create one long table and there was an entire set up for a birthday party. I assume with that you need to book in advance But after you eat and had a yummy milkshake, you can take a walk through the nursery thats next to the restaurant area. There’s a lot of things you can get there for your garden, sculptures, hanging wire work, plants or accessories or even lovely gift ideas as well! There are small stalls on the side with more crafts for sale. They are kid friendly and have a rather large kids play area. The clay cafe is also there but I think they prefer you to make an appointment. The only thing is it can get very busy and the staff get busy as well and they do have a...
