Nando's Gezina Drive Thru — Restaurant in Gauteng

So ... even though we were reluctant to order food on delivery, ever the optimists, we did and hoped for the best.

First issue : the address section of their online ordering system does not allow you to enter your full address (eg if you live on a subdivided property) and neither does the delivery instructions section allow more than 5 words. As expected, the driver went to the wrong address, drove all the way back to the store to call us & when he got here, not surprisingly, the food was cold. Guess the delivery instructions box is just for show insert disappointed shrug here

Second issue : the food. I ordered the pulled chicken wrap (mild) - I got a coleslaw wrap (only like 5 pieces of chicken) and lemon & herb. Nice. My boyfriend ordered the chicken, avo & caramalised onion pita - he got a broken mess that was only half filled. Usually (based on previous orders) the avo is supposed to be like guacamole, not this time. Even with all the sauce pouring out of the manhandled broken pita, the chicken was dry. Even the mielie .... a MIELIE ... was sour halfway through.

For the price we paid for this ridiculously below average meal, we could've ordered 2 large pizzas from Casa Gelati (best pizza joint in the area FYI) and still had ample money left over for dessert.

Sufficed to say ... even though they have the best marketing department, we are done...

Horrible horrible experience! I wanted to order the Wilsons Caramel milkshake but was told that they forgot to order the stock for the milkshake but according to the manager Josh, who I spoke to after lodging a written complaint there were stock available. I then ordered a lemon and herb chicken with a sharing coleslaw. The container of the coleslaw was only filled halfway and I asked the lady at the pick up point in the drive through area to speak to the manager and I was told that he was busy. The griller of the chicken then decided to add additional extra hot peri peri sauce in the packet of the chicken which made it impossible for me to eat. I did not even ask for extra sauce and I ordered lemon and herb flavour and definately not extra hot peri peri flavour. I did lodge a formal complaint and spoke to the Branch manager Josh who promised me a detailed report regarding the matter within 24 hours. So it has been longer than 24 hours and still no e-mail regarding the detailed report. This confirms that customer service is definately not number one on their list. I will not recommend this Gezina branch to anybody and I will never support...

I'm so disappointed,not everything I ordered yesterday was in the bag when i got home,I tried to call immediately to let them know but I couldn't find their numbers online...the chickens were dry,no sauces at all...what a waste of money,oh the spinach had a burning smell,my guests didn't even touch it,I had to throw it away...I'm so disappointed n if their excuse is that it's 15th it's busy then they clearly can't manage the shop and they might as well close it......nandos gezina lifestyle centre I am coming for my Festa roll you failed to package with the rest of my order and I want full chicken with sauce for free for the spinach that was burnt ,chicken with no sauce ,the 1 hour I had to wait for my order and you still got it wrong,for not putting any sachets of sauces in the bag,let alone the salad dressing I had to put in my nandos salad and for wasting my petrol and coming to buy there.

I am not happy and I am going to escalate this.1 star is...
