Rejoice is an absolute gem!

This is 100% the place to go if you're in the mood for unpretentious sushi by the ton and at a steal of a price. The buffet is perfectly satisfying with a very good selection included (far more than average), and you can simply top it up with some signature items if the mood calls for it. The menu also offers a variety of other meals, including set menus.

The restaurant is pleasantly decorated, and the vibe is always relaxed. Two indicators of Rejoice being a good restaurant are that there are ALWAYS customers (most nights they are full) and that their staff have been around for years. Furthermore, this spot is well-frequented by the local Asian community, who come in groups with their families. What more is there to say then! 😅

If I'm absolutely forced to give any constructive feedback, it is that there could perhaps be some background music to add to the atmosphere. Also, the toilets could do with some more attention and disposable hand towels. Otherwise, it's a great spot with food...

The service was absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a peach ice tea, he brought a sugar free one. I asked for a normal one, "oh we don't have" . Then I asked for a coke and he brought a lemon ice tea, "this is the only one we have".

When we wanted to order food and asked questions about the dish, he would give an answer. My friend then asked another question on the dish and he would give a completely different answer. When I asked him about his first answer on the dish to clarify because he just said something else, he would say something else again. This was very confusing and irritating.

We had to ask him to please clear the table after we were done eating after about 10min. The place wasn't full, there was about three other tables.

Management shouldn't put somebody on the floor to serve customers if they are not ready. This guy had no idea on how to serve customers in a decent way.

Will I recommend this place, no. Will I go there...

This kind of sushi is an abomination to sushi. Fish that was not fresh with a rancid taste and smell, rice that was tasted like it was made more than a day ago. We eat sushi for its freshness and not its quantity, so when you order a Salmon hand roll with crispy salmon skin you certainly don't want to receive something that resembles an inedible prawn chip inside, so hard that its impossible to chew. When we sent the meals back as a result of being old and rancid we were told that there was no refund because the meal would be taken off the waitresses wages if they did a refund...... We paid for our meal in full so that it would not be taken off the waitresses bill!! Expensive as hell with zero value, this is definitely not a restaurant that will see my custom again. Good luck at fixing this, not even Gordon Ramsay would...
