Roman's Pizza Elardus Park — Restaurant in Gauteng

This was now the absolute last straw, the service at this place has now dropped to an al time low. The last three time we ordered from this place has been nothing but a disappointment of note. This Sunday we ordered two pizzas from them at 17:18 (Call logged and I had to repeat the order three time as it does not seem like who ever took the ores knew what they were doing there), so we when to collect at at 17:59 (time on the slip). The order number that came out when we were doing the payment was still more than 10 order numbers before ours, which just defeats the purpose of having a call and collect option as it is absolutely useless. So we had to wait even longer, and when our number came up we were asked to pay again, upon producing the receipt the amount was different although the order was the same, which leaves a huge question. Now this took even more time to sort out, by the time we walked out of there the pizza was already cold and tasteless. But I wish I could say that this was an isolated incident but this seems to be the norm there as I was not the only one there with a problem. The previous occation we wanted to order from this place I phoned them to place an order but on one answered the phone but I kept the phone running while driving there, when I walked into the store the phone was still ringing and it was deliberately been ignored. Now looking at the kitchen from the front I'm not surprised at the previous reviews of food poisoning at this facility as the staff and equipment are filthy the complaints about a rediculasly long waiting period is very true, so this place is a...

I am not a person who really gives bad reviews, but Romans Pizza Elardus Park really needs a wake-up call when it comes to decent customer service.

I placed an order online at 17:45 today and the sms I received stated that my order will leave the store for delivery in 35 minutes.

The delivery driver contacted me at 18:28 to inform me that we had our Pizza and that he was just involved in an accident on Solomon Mahlangu Drive and won’t be able to deliver our food and hung up the phone.

I waited around 5 minute before contacting Romans pizza to enquire about our order that was not delivered. (Very bad customer service since they did not contact me first)

After explaining the situation twice, they eventually put me through to the manager who is very rude and bluntly asked me “so what now, should we remake the order?”!! I mean what questions is that?? I paid for an order, so I am expecting my order. I then asked her what else can we do? And she hung up on me.

I then phoned back again and spoke to her again. She confirmed that they will remake the order and deliver, but the only driver they had left has already gone out to do a delivery and that there were 2 other deliveries before our food would go out for deliver once again.

We had to eventually get into the car and collect our order ourself and did not receive a refund on the delivery we paid!

This is terrible customer service and Romans Pizza will never see our...

The store itself is great and clean, however... I have had too many occasions of ordering, then waiting nearly an hour for my order to be ready. I understand busy nights, they can get very busy on weekends and payday, but the fact that last night ordered my pizza at 17:25 so that there was ample time to prep before delivery, yet it was only ready for pickup and delivery at 18:28... By the time I got it, it was ice cold and we had just started load shedding so I couldn't even attempt to reheat it...

This was not the first time I've experienced really slow service on Romans' side and it's actually disgusting... The Northriding store that is the same size and almost 2x busier, manages to have orders out and cooked in 25 mins on a normal day, and 35-40 on the really busy nights... I have never had a cold pizza from then nor any other Romans before and it's quite a disappointing situation when it's load shedding and you're too tired to cook something yourself... Should have rather had 2...
