Wonderful experience at Tucson Spur. Big ups to Musa, Emma and staff. The waiters' enthusiasm is contagious. It must have been 6, even 7 or more birthdays during our dinner. And with each birthday, the staff sing with the same zest as the previous. The onetime the audio track dipped, and you could hear the staff sing out loud until the music came back. The food was well prepared and the portions are generous. The play area has more than enough variety to keep the little ones busy, all under the careful watch of the playground staff. The service by our waiter was warm and caring, and even with a very busy night, she kept her cool and maintained high levels of service. In addition, the food service was quick despite the busy night. The restaurant is clean and the immediate appearance indicate an attention to detail and focus on upkeep. For example, the one TV switched off and it wasnt moments later and a staff member came past to switch it on again for those wishing to...

We did not have a good experience today due to the following reasons: We did not have one constant waiter, there were three waiters with three different stories they did not bother introducing them to us. We were prompt the whole time to hurry up with our table whilst my husband enjoyed a drink my kids still drinking. We had 2 birthday vouchers for kids which we redeemed but what we ordered, what was explained and the bill we got was 3x different stories. We asked the manager ahead in time how the vouchers worked, but we had to ask for the ice cream. The male manager was rude with customers behind us, and to some kids on the playground as well. Some of the toy machines did not work but no notification was indicated it's out of order. We used to receive good service but AFter today we are NEVER setting foot at that place again with those rude people... I would recommend if you SE this spur bypass far. Food is great service...

I came to the Tucson Spur for breakfast before doing some shopping in the local strip mall. I walked in 10h00 to freindly greeting and quick service of a cappuchino and soda for my wife but from there things degenerated as my wife and I were only served our breakfast an hour later and then the order was wrong. I am not sure why we had such slow service as other patrons were seved quickly and courteously. I was a bit disturbed by the louder than necessary music as well. Our server was apologetic about the service and a junior manager did visit our table enquiring as to whether we were enjoying our breakfast and we we able to adress our complaints.

Sat 08 June 2019 Wow what a change. Since my original review in 2016 I have visited this Spur a few times and service had not improved much.

But what a pleasant experience today, my server Kagiso blew me out of the water with his attitude and prompt service. I will recommend this SPUR to family...

With easy access from the Delmas Drive R50 and R21 freeway, Tucson Spur is in a relatively suburban location within Cornwall View Shopping Centre. Great to take the kids along as it offers a large play area with a host of playground apparatus. Attended to by waitron Nozipho, breakfast was served on hot platters, that kept the food very warm on a colder than usual spring morning. Nozipho served us with a smile, and her courtesy prevailed during the entire breakfast. An asset to the restaurant, she stayed a bit to chat. Colorfully decorated, and some interesting pieces of decor art, the restaurant has a clear view across the R21 towards Irene. Not too busy, despite it being a public holiday. Shall definitely visit Tucson Spur again.

This is the best branch of Spur that I have visited. The patrons are mostly “old South Africa” and I almost felt I was back in the 1980s. There were lots of children but they didn’t cause any disturbance because the Spur provided a nanny and an adequate play area with slides and jungle gyms. Spur spare ribs have always been the best thing on the menu and the Tucson was no exception. My only disappointment was the slow service and eventually my waitress suggested I change my starch from baked potato to chips, which I agreed to, and then my meal was served immediately. An unexpected treat was the staff dancing in the aisles to cowboy square dancing music.
