Drive-through? No, sleep-through!!! My golly gosh, this Wimpy's drive-through is atrocious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to have a cappuccino - so we ordered it, paid (R34,90 - heck, that's expensive!!) and pulled up to the 'collect' window. There was already a car in front of us.
We waited ... and waited .... and waited .... for more than 10 mintues!!!! After 5 minutes I walked to the window to enquire what the hold-up was - they didn't even answer me. They did however bring me my cappuccino - fat lot of good that did! We were STILL STUCK behind the car - waiting for his ... what?? What did he order that took so long???????
In future, if you know an order is going to take a bit long - ASK THE PERSON TO PULL FORWARD AND WAIT FOR IT - so that we, just wanting a drive-through coffee can get our...
Read moreUsed the drive through...was the 3rd car in the row and waited 30mins to get to the collection window. The 2 cars ahead were not handed big orders, one was only 5 drinks. The attendant at the window had a bad attitude and my toasted sandwich was cold already. When asked why the service took so long I was told they were busy.....i suppose we all have different definitions but to the sit down area which has about 20 tables, had 4 tables of 4 and 1 of 2 which to me is hardly busy. I requested the sandwich got heated and very grudgingly, I was accommodated but with a new half toasted one. Doesn't make me want to go back in a hurry...will rather go a few meters up the road to the place that knows...
Read moreOrdered two chocolate milkshakes, asked for it to be nice and thick. Firstly got milkshakes without topping. Made a comment, was returned to the kitchen only to return with cream insouciantly put on top. Later on the waiter came to inform that they will be charging extra for the cream. Addressed the issue with the manager whereupon I demanded proper milkshakes that is similar in appearance as on their menu. To top it all I got charged for double thick milkshakes (which does not even appear on their menu). Once again addressed this experience with another manager, who then refunded me for the overcharged amount. Seriously need to work on the way they treat...
