Emily Moon Restaurant is a hidden treasure perched above the Bitou River offering one of the most spectacular dining experiences in Plettenberg Bay. The restaurant's multi-level design showcases breathtaking valley views. The food matches the stunning setting. The menu features expertly prepared local ingredients, from fresh seafood. Everything we tried was exceptional, with presentation as impressive as the taste. Their wine list perfectly complements the menu. What makes this place truly special is the complete experience. You can kayak on the river before your meal or take a sunset walk through the indigenous gardens. The decor blends African artifacts with contemporary design, creating a magical atmosphere, especially during sunset when the valley glows golden. Service is professional and warm. While prices are on the higher end, the combination of extraordinary views, excellent food, and unique atmosphere makes it worth every penny. Reservations strongly recommended, especially for sunset dining. Pro tips: - Request a deck table for the best views - Arrive before sunset for spectacular photo opportunities - Try their signature cocktails - Consider booking a room at the lodge for the full experience

An incredibly beautiful venue with vividly unique decor The staff are delightfull, and overall I had a great time here The starter bread was so damn great The twist on an old fashioned and margarita cocktails were very well balanced and indulgent The food how ever missed the mark but only by the slightest Starting with the crispy calamari n spiced pulled pork bon bons There's meant to be caper mayo with the calamari but I tried to find or taste capers, it could of been a watered down chilli mayo, still passable but lacked the seasoning the calamari needed, overall not interesting The pulled pork was dry and the chutney its served with needed a little bit more vinegar to cut the sweetness and compliment the salsa better The lamb rack was a bit dishearting Whilst cooked exquisitely, the sauce was pretty basic n mostly salty and near burnt sweetness flavours The plating was well placed but not visually tied together, just items on a plate that could of been hand placed from a buffet But let me be absolutely clear, I enjoyed my time here, but give the location, the 4 star hotel, the price and quality of drinks, I expected far more

It was top of my list for places to eat at Plet and didn’t disappoint! Very good service -thank you Lelethu for getting me a table last minute, food came very quick too. Absolutely amazing atmosphere (shame I missed the sunset, I heard the views are incredible). But the star of the show was the sea food curry. I never order Indian food except an Indian restaurant. But this has beaten any curry I’ve ever had. Absolute perfection. Even the naan was the best naan ever. The fried calamari as a starter was ok, the sauce was nice & presentation was great but the dish is nothing special. All in all amazing experience & will be back for sunset. Starter, main & soft drink came to 376 Rand / £16.
