La Cantina — Restaurant in George

Third repeat year being spoilt at fancourt. And la cantina repeatedly pulls out the best!; I am allergic to gluten and dairy - a very difficult combination for most places to grasp and cater to! They understand all the 'hidden' contamination parts and just get it. I've never felt more secure about dining somewhere and not worrying about the potential aftermath. The breakfast buffet is just amazing (honestly no words can express!) And the service during this,despite being mostly help yourself,just phenomenal... I don't know everyone's names but Joyce and Eunice have been there for me every year as I enjoy my 'golf widow' morning- and they almost feel like family.:)

The dinner menu as well is great and caters for us 'tricky' allergy people, again, feeling safe and confident in the choice made and not resorting to something super simple that one could make at home (and possibly as good or better) for fear of contamination.

The pizza is heavenly)! I challenge you to try gluten free base with the dairy free 'cheese'! It really was like eating a normal pizza filled with copious toppings and mozzarella (I used to be able to eat 'normally', so yes, I can compare)

Who doesn’t love Italian cuisine? La Cantina has a beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff and a welcoming presence…. The menu selection for and Italian restaurant of this caliber is somewhat disappointing… The pasta selection is extremely average and on arrival looks pretty disappointing… I opted for the truffle Rigatoni which hardly had any truffle presence… I asked for more especially at the price. It was pretty tasteless and needed the extra garlic, Parmesan and chili to lift the flavor.. expensive and unimpressive

The table agreed with every meal overpriced, small portions and underwhelming taste.
