La Famiglia — Restaurant in George

I’ve just had my very first visit to La Famiglia in George, and let me tell you, this place is a gem!

I ordered the aged 500g sirloin steak (rare), and as someone who is very fussy about meat, I can confidently say this was one of the best sirloins I’ve ever had in a restaurant. In fact, the only steaks that compare are the ones I make at home, and I never say that lightly. Absolutely melt-in-your-mouth perfection.

But La Famiglia is so much more than just incredible food. The setting at Kingswood Golf Estate is breathtaking. The view alone is worth the visit - wide open, serene, and inspiring. Pair that with the lively yet relaxed atmosphere, the gentle chatter in the background, the warmth of the decor, and the cosy Mediterranean style, and you’ve got an unbeatable combination.

The staff? Simply outstanding. Warm, genuinely friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. You feel like you’re part of a family here (fitting for the name). The decor is classy yet welcoming, creating a space that feels both special and homely.

La Famiglia isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, soak it all in, and truly enjoy the moment. Whoever had the vision to build this restaurant in such a setting deserves applause.

La Famiglia has officially earned a spot as my go-to restaurant in George. If you’re looking for a place with world-class food, spectacular views, warm service, and an atmosphere that lifts your spirits — this is it.

Our much anticipated new clubhouse and restaurant has opened at Kingswood Golf Estate. Wow! It is everything we wanted and so much more. Modern, spacious, beautiful views. The food was delicious. Great offerings on the menu from antipasta to pizzas, salads, burgers, souvlaki, steak.... 2 pizza ovens. A cute area with mini stools for kids to probably make their own pizzas. A lovely little kiddies playarea outside. There is a small private room for private functions. Looking forward to enjoying a cocktail or 2 from the cocktail menu at sunset. We had my son's birthday party here. It is beautiful. The play area is lovely and you can sit indoors overlooking it to keep an eye on the children. The staff were so responsive and happy to have us there. Food was great. Service was excellent- our waitress, Esther was amazing and took good care of us. The lady who cared for the children as they played, Vilekazi was great and the kids loved her. We had such a happy day and will...
