Wimpy Margate Beach — Restaurant in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

Me and my family visited this Wimpy wih the expectations that we would be having an excellent experience. This was not the case. The atmosphere is very uncomfortable with the waiters never being kind in any sense. We walked in with no greeting whatsoever and was just pointed towards our table by the waitress standing at the door. We decided to order some milkshakes, seeing as the atmosphere was uncomfortable. When the milkshakes arrived they were runny, melted and halfway through drinking mine, I found a bee at the bottom of the glass. We called the waitress and she apologized reluctantly, then proceeded to call the manager. The manager arrived with the same distasteful attitude as the other waitresses. Thankfully he sent me a new milkshake, and this time with no bugs. As soon as the milkshakes were done we waited for the waitress ,because we wanted to order ice cream next. The waitress approached us and plopped the bill on our table and marched off. We called her back to fix the problem. She brought us the ice cream and we left after paying and leaving a good tip. Never again will me and my Family set foot in such an inhospitable place unless management changes...

We ordered 2 snowfreeze babana boat, we receive 99% apple and 5 pieces of melon, no pineapples / strawberries /grapes as advertised.

Nuts were our waitress, Zizi brought our order we asked her were is the other fruit she looked at us and walk away, when Nuts came after we were finished we asked her why we didn't received all fruits, she said she will call Primrose, when she came she said its a supplier problem, and the next time she will make it herself, she said the owner know about problem but still don't do anything. We asked for discount because we didn't receive what we ordered she said no discount will be given. We must come again and she will make sure she will make it herself, We said there will be no next time. I said i will report them she said please do so maybe the supplier will see post, this is not about suppliers they must make sure the have everything the way they advertising, or the waiter must say its not available. We asked for the card machine she didn't even...

This Wimpy has been a must-visit for any trip to the South Coast for the better part of three decades. The fact that I keep going back says that it "speaks" to me. The food tends to be good and the memories are great.

However, when I recently visited, the food was not up to typical Wimpy standards. We ordered a mixed grill and a Double grill. The food certainly did not look like the pictures (and it seems the mixes grill was replaced with a cheaper alternative. I did not recognise my order when served, and noticed obvious omissions after looking at the pictures afterwards. The food did not look appetising. In the end it tasted good... But presentation (and servi g the ordered dish) would be important in the long-term survival of this establishment.
