I'd like to thank management at Casa Nostra, for accommodating myself and my family on the eve on Mother's day without a reservation, they managed to squeeze us in, in an already packed night with people coming in. They very much handled the situation very well instead of turning us away even though it the issue was on our end for not making a booking. So for hospitability they deserve full marks, nothing short of very accommodating; even though we had to be seated near at the high tables, we were promptly moved to a more comfortable seating area. Service from our waiter was good and very profession considering the busy night they were experiencing. Food was fairly decent, though I do have some nit picks on the items we purchased. Not to be misunderstood, the food was decent; but on a higher price scale, the expectation is usually slightly higher in turn. But the vibe, atmosphere and customer friendliness would have me go back and give it another shot, using their online...
Read moreWe're from JHB and we have been visiting Umdloti for the past 12 years now, and this is the first year we have dined at La Casa Nostra and we have been blown away with the service and the quality of the food. La Casa Nostra truly is a hidden gem within the hidden gem of Umdloti. Our waiter JohnJohn was truly welcoming and beyond friendly. It's a fitting end to our holiday. And to the other folks who have complained about pricing, I would remind them that quality like this comes at a price. We've eaten for much more and received much less. The Italian restaurants in Gauteng can take a page out of La Casa Nostra book and learn how to do Italian in the truest most authentic manner. Thank you for such a bellissimatic...
Read moreThe food was good, service was ok... we booked a table for 18:30, however we arrived slightly early, around 18:15 and a party of 6 ... after our meals, and drinks, we decided to have dessert, they then brought us our bill without us asking, then a while after that we wanted to have coffee... by this time the managersess or owner or whatever she is, was getting annoyed and she said "you shoul gave told me you are enjoying yourselves" then proceeded to ask for the table where the children were sitting, as they have other people that have booked... !@#$ ... not the greatest experience, not the greatest service, nothing to rave about... and personally I think they are over priced!!!! Mmm... not going there again! Way better...
