**Restaurant Review: Mazambik, Umdloti** Mazambik in Umdloti offers an excellent dining experience! The food was truly delicious, with every dish bursting with flavour, and it provided great value for money. The drinks were equally impressive, well-prepared and refreshing, further enhancing the experience. The service was outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, contributing to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, we highly recommend Mazambik for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful meal paired with fantastic service. It's definitely worth a visit!

What an amazing night spent with my family. We wanted to try a seafood boil but not many places offer this anymore so we decided to go to Mozambik and their food and friendly service did not disappoint. We ended up going back the next day for take away prawns and giblets. Thank you Buhle for your friendly and professional service and to the waitress last night I’m sorry I didn’t take your name but wow to you too.

We arrived there first thing in the morning on the way to the airport. The food was so fresh and hot. The snails as a starter were amazing with the warm bread. They also served us warm peanuts whilst we waited for our food. We had the rib and prawn platter and just prawns on the other plate. There was a few monkeys on the trees so I wouldn’t sit outside because I’m scared of them snatching my food😅😂

Service: It felt like it was a chore for the waitress to be there, not at all inviting. More of that below. Food: We were told the line fish was either Dorado or Pangasius. The latter you wouldn't ever want to consume (look it up) so I ordered the Dorado, but what I got was Pangasius. When I asked the waitress if she was sure it was Dorado, I was told they were out of stock - but nobody bothered to inform me or ask if I would like to change my order. When I sent it back to be removed from the bill, the Manager came over and told me they don't ever have Dorado?! I had ordered it with the lemon and herb sauce, what came was melted butter with perhaps a sprinkle of lemon, not a herb in sight. The steak Trinchado was just a shame, with the sauce way over salted and not even a hint of peri peri. My Husband's Kingklip came with their Zambeziana sauce which was also overloaded with salt. We were asked if we wanted the starter and mains together which we declined, but, they came together. We'd asked for fries with our fish, but we got rice instead. A huge pile of plain white rice. Who does that?! And when the fries came, it was pretty clear the oil they were cooked in was not fresh. Atmosphere: Literally zero. Such a pity because it's a prime spot in Umdloti, but when you get it this wrong, you might get lucky with some holidaymakers, but the locals will never support it when we have other world class restaurants in...

We were all so blown away and very pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the food.

The calamari espetada was delicious, flame grilled & had the perfect amount of peri peri sauce, all the sides were great, coconut rice, mixed veggies & salad.

Their full chicken was cooked to perfection and we didn’t wait long at all.

I will be recommending your restaurant to everyone who’s in the mood for Portuguese or anyone who wants really GREAT food.

The service and hospitality were fantastic. (Especially since we only arrived at 8:30pm, we ordered expecting to be a bit rushed for kitchen staff to be going home at 9 but the waitress was so lovely, and she explained that they’re all so happy to have customers and it’s not a problem at all and they’re not in any rush… which put us at ease, and the food came out perfectly.)

Keep up the great work guys, Nosipho is the reason we keep coming back, she is excellent 🥹 10 out of 10 for service. so happy to have such a great restaurant to look forward to visiting, we’ll definitely be back...

it was absolutely disappointing, disgusting, the service was pathetic and the staff there were extremely unhelpful. we were firstly not even seen to upon entering. we had to call the manager to get us seated after 10minutes of standing outside. after seating ourselves we had to go and call for our orders to be taken the waitress there when calling her she just ignored us, we had to call the manager again for someone to take our orders. then the climax of it all, a monkey urinated in my friends food, we had to sit outside because according to the manager the 10 seater table inside could not be seated on because there was only 5 of us. The monkey urinated from the roof onto our table and her plate. the monkeys became a constant issue and there was no one that assisted in helping us or moving us inside. we were not reimbursed for anything or even apologized to for our very unpleasant time there. Food was ok. My coconut rice was half...
