Cedar Falls Spur — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

We frequent this Spur because it's very close and convenient for us, we used to actually enjoy our food but of recent the food standards have really dropped. The last visit we were given stale burger buns which the manageress rectified and served us fresh buns after complaining , so why are you serving stale buns when you have fresh buns?

Yesterday I ordered a take away from your take away special. The full chicken, 4 buns, chips and onion rings for R199, the standard of the meal was so disappointing, the buns were stale as usual, the chicken tasted like boiled chicken brushed with sauce, absolutely rubbery and dry. The chips was fine, the onions rings were not crispy and barely had any crumb on it. We do live 3.6km from the spur so it wasn't a long drive home. The biggest disappointment was the boiled chicken, I could have boiled a chicken at home for R60 if I wanted that.

Spur southway mall is a place I wouldn't ever eat at again. I ordered a cheddarmelt steak, which took almost an hour to arrive and to my surprise the steak was ROTTEN. It smelt awful. At first I thought it was the smell of a dampy cloth but when I brought the steak up to my nose I couldn't believe that I just ate something that smelt that bad. When the manager was called, he was very calm and just took my details. Offered to make me another steak which he says was cut today. Disappointed as to the way this was handled by the manager as if "oh just another unhappy customer, so be it". I must admit I am so disappointed in this spur . After my second bad experience here I need to advise that the food is disgusting . I ordered a burger and it arrived with mould on the bun - this was a couple months back . I was calm and thought it was a one time mistake . Last night I went to have a dinner again at this same spur and ordered prawns . The head of the prawns still had BLOOD in them and one of my four prawns tasted either OFF or NOT COOKED . I advised my waitress this and got an apology but this is something that can make someone extremely sick . I’m disgusted just thinking about it . Please do better with food quality because the atmosphere and staff are so lovely here but the chef needs better...
