Xinyuan Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

About 1 year ago we went and had a great meal at the restaurant. Therefore, my brother and I decided to order 1 x Sweet and Sour Pork and 1 x Cashew Nut Chicken this evening (30th Dec 2022). When I arrived home after collecting the food I noticed that the Sweet and Sour Pork had no sauce in the packet. Upon phoning and enquiring I was told there should be a packet of sauce and if not they had forgotten. I then double checked and proceeded to eat dry rice and dry fried pork balls. My brother on the other hand described his Cashew Nut Chicken as the most bland and tasteless dish he has ever eaten. To be honest I really don't enjoy leaving harsh reviews, but after the experience we had this evening I felt it was necessary. Been here twice and i would go again. The owner is extremely sweet and kind, the staff is extremely helpful. However the food..there is no number i can use to rate the food. But if i have to, id give it a 11/10. Their steamed and fried dumplings are TO DIE FOR! Their noodles..oh my goodness dont even get me started. If you dont feel like cooking and want something that just sits right, you dont want a burger or pizza, XunYuan is the GO to. This place is everything and i could never get sick of eating their food. Very delicious and succulent food, very juicy and taste very homemade compared to other restaurants in the area. Very delicious steamed beef buns (dumplings), very juicy and homemade, that make me sleepy as they are quite warm. Their chow mein is one of the best in town! I don’t know how you guys make food, but y’all should keep it up! Their service is kind, and warm. The only issue we had was getting there, but I think that was Google Map’s fault. Other than that, their food and service is amazing and I would rate it the BEST in town! The food just tasted homemade and wholesome, and strangely nostalgic too..Definitely my new go-to place for...
