Our Flyball team from Johannesburg/Pretoria visited KZN for some shows at Shongweni.||We were warmly welcomed by our host James, who went out of his way for some VERY late arrivals (caught by a road closure on Van Reenens pass). The spacious verandah with its occasional seating was a great gathering place for the team, and an early cold spell really made us appreciate the electric blankets in our rooms! Read moreI’ll start with the only saving grace and that is the staff. They were lovely and understanding. Everything else was abysmal. The shower ran cold. The wifi dropped out a lot. The breakfast was sad though edible. The rooms were dated and not at all as pictured. The windows open out to the courtyard/pool area so there isn’t any privacy. No power points in the bathroom so good luck blow drying your hair after your brutally cold shower. The most dated furniture. And to top it all off I was charged ZAR 4000 for two awful nights stay. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. All this would have been bearable had it not been so...
