Smokey Mountain Spur — Restaurant in Madibeng Local Municipality

We had lunch there today. Firstly let me say we are not people that would normally complain, especially my husband. The lady that served us was great. The store was so hot inside, especially where we sat on the side near the bathrooms. Let's start......The tea pot lid was dirty. The nachos we had....... my husband had a lot of tomatoes, I had a few pieces, my husband had way less avo on his plate as where I had a lot. The chicken had no taste, we were hungry and ate without complaining. Afterwards we ordered each a half waffle, my husband had ice cream and I asked for cream and ice cream. The first bite I took was like eating a raw egg and the waffle had no dough, it was like a pancake and that was enough for me. The manager did remove my half waffle from the bill but not my husband's. Since we got home I have been running to the bathroom so sick with my stomach, up and under. The food was great but the service was horrible. Our waiter was friendly at first, we ordered drinks, then food. When he brought the food I asked for a refill and later called him to change the type of drink I had ordered. His mood changed and he became cold towards us. When he brought my drink he brought a dirty glass, so I called him to let him know. As he left our table he saw me say something to my partner. When he came back with the clean glass he said I was talking bad about him, which is not true, he completely misconstrued what I was saying to my partner. He gave me attitude even when I explained to him that I wasn’t talking to him. He was rude and made us feel bad for calling him a lot. We called the manager and explained the situation to him. He apologised and gave me ice cream. He took my number and said he’d call us to update us about the situation, how he dealt with it and stuff. He never called. The manager once called me for my review and requested that whenever I come to the restaurant again i should make sure I see him to get voucher to rectify whatever.
