The service I got from the Manager Kelly made the experience unpleasant for me.
I had late lunch on Saturday. However when I got home I realized I had been double debited. I immediately called the restaurant and I spoke to Kelly who asked me to take a screenshot of the transaction and send it to her cellphone, which I did.
I went to bed expecting to get feedback on how my money would be reversed. I did not hear from anyone until I decided to go to the Restaurant the next day. I was told I will have to wait until Monday because that is when they will be able to get thier bank statement. However, I still did not understand why I was not informed of such because I would have not have driven to the restaurant in the first place.
When I got to the restaurant Kelly did not even bother aplogising to me or explaining thier procedure, instead she was not bothered and sent a waiter to tell me I would be called on Monday.
I was not called on Monday. I travel alot abroad and I have never received such service. It is unacceptable.
I wonder how tourists would feel if this would happen to them. Especially if one would be flying out of the country the next day.
I love the food at Picasso but I'm definitely not gonna go there again.

Read moreLast Sunday, having ordered the prawns, very expensive but past experiences made them really worthwhile; and with my daughter here as a special treat from Jhb, l had raved about the prawns and we ordered them. A plate each, mine with rice and my daughters with chips. ……….and a chilli margarita, usually my best and a huge treat. Knowing the prawns take a while, we were happy to wait. When we were served, my daughter commented that she had ordered chips but had been given potato wedges. My rice was cold and absolutely bland: even adding salt, helped not! The prawns looked good, the biggest ones on the top and got smaller as we ate them. The top ones were good, they had had the appropriate time to cook but as they got smaller, they were sooo over-cooked that we had to literally pick them out with our forks. In relation to the size of the portions; 12 prawns, the butter sauce was too little and we both had to get another serving each to finish them. My chilli margarita, my absolute best was so chilli, I couldn’t finish it even after discarding the chilli placed on top of it for decoration. A most disappointing and very expensive outing! Read moreFriends had recommended Picasso and we were keen to try for a special occasion. We had an initial very friendly greeting! But unfortunately we did not have a great experience after this. The menu offers local beers, but when we enquired about these it took 2 trips back and forward to the bar from the waitress, only to be told they only sell Castle Lite. Then we ordered the food, which sounded lovely. Only half the meal arrived. We started on this and the food we ate was very tasty. After we finished everything and no one had come to check on us, we called the waitress over and asked for the rest of the food. Nothing came out and no explaination. We finally got up and asked the manager to check. She went to the kitchen, but again neither waitress nor manager came to report back. Finally the waitress asked if they should ‘continue’ making the food… but as we had been there for an hour and a half we declined. The bill was brought to us without explainaition, apology or even the manager coming to check if we were ok. We were very disappointed by the experience, especially as it was supposed to be a special day. Accidents happen, but there is no excuse for poor service...
