Yesterday I decided to celebrate my birthday at your restaurant because when visiting before the service and food was great but was very disappointed yesterday, it was terrible and unappetising.
Firstly the breakfast eggs Looks like it was but in the microwave rubbery it looked like a single mushroom was fried to death, bacon was crackling friend to death, it was a mini pork grilled not stipulated on menu as a mini , my daughter’s scramble egg was raw, my sons French toast was slaughter and definitely microwaved it was rubbery all that was lovely was our hot chocolate and scone with jam, I think the worst part was the managers attitude and the scribbling of the hand written invoice trying to make out a handwriting Firstly when there is a birthday in your shop you go over and give wishes that what normally happens it’s called being polite but it was not the case and that was okay she was told by the waiters to go over to the table because we wanted to complain she just ignored the waitress and nodded her head we called for various things brought croissant without cheese as we ordered there was no sauces on the table the two waitresses was running around a lady from the kitchen appeared and because the waitresses was ignoring us I asked the kitchen lady to please bring us tomato sauce , which she did . That manager was saying you can’t complain when you started eating on the meal, you ignored us! it was explained that when coming to a certain section of the scramble egg which was a thick scramble when opened it was realised it was raw, okay was the reply. My opinion if something doesn’t look good on the plate it doesn’t get served to the customer , managers attitude was appalling oh I was told by her she just helps out twice a week it not her place and I’ve seen you before yes, that wasn’t my problem deal with your complains, you only nice to certain people honestly, sorry but you definitely won’t see us again and I have been going there for years.
I could have paid half the bill at Spur and would have enjoyed my birthday breakfast more, please pay attention to your Traditional English breakfast , sausage and all it not worth it, get yourself a till system nobody writes out invoices it’s untidy and unclear. Farewell Rambling...
Read moreRambling Rose Coffee Shop is the place to be for an awesome breakfast, with their fast efficient service from the quick waitrons to the manager any meal is possible to some out the kitchen still steaming from the heat.
The coffee's are just phenomenal and you can see that the barista take pride in his or her work. We had two Cappuccino's and two Americanos and they were made to perfection!
We chose the traditional breakfasts and were not disappointed. Everything was made as we liked them and the delivery was fast. I have to recommend them for the speed that the food came out of the kitchen!
Thank you to The Rambling Rose Coffee Shop manager that started our day, so awesome,...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way back to Cape Town from Barrydale. The food was incredible, I had the venison babotie and my husband had a breakfast dish. Our waiter was super friendly and everything was so beautifully presented, down to the little tray of jams and preserves that gets served with your meal. The only downside to the place is that it is crammed full of things. I feel they could reduce the stock in the shop which serves as the entrance to make the flow not so awkward. Some people only stop in to get takeaway coffees and have nowhere to wait that is not in the way. Loved the small town feel of the place but it's become popular enough to think about making the space more...
