M&B has always been one of my favourites to visit. I've been there many times over the years. I'm never one to complain and do my best not to, often overlooking certain things that others would complain about. Yesterday, 28th October 2023, I went there with the intention to have a good meal and relax with a coffee and book to read. I was engrossed in my book that I didn't notice I was waiting longer than usually for my meal which I had ordered. I had finished my coffee a long time ago and wanted to refill my cup as I had ordered a bottomless coffee. Only to see that they didn't have any flasks in the compartments where they are usually housed. I looked around for my waitron but did not see her, and none of the other waitrons seemed to be interested in my confusion and search. I sat down and probably waited another 12 mins before my waitron came around with my breakfast which was by this time cold. I asked her to refill my coffee mug so that I could eat it with my meal. I waited another 8 mins for that to happen. She returned and by this time I had moved my meal from the plate you see in the attached image to a side plate. As my plate was not 'clean' it had smugdes all over and I wasn't keen to eat off it. My waitron eventually returned with my coffee and grabbed the 'dirty' plate, not even concerned or bothered by the fact that I moved my food to another plate. I regret to say for the overall service I did not tip. Which is not how do things. But her disinterest in my experience and her seemingly giving the people behind me more attention and prompt assistance, led me to think of why was I being treated differently. I may visit this branch again in the future. I will ask for a different waitron should I be served by the same person again. My only hope is that I wasn't being profiled by the said waitron. Coz I feel that no matter what I look like or the colour of my skin. I should be treated the same as the next patron. I hope the service improves at your facility, M&B.

If I could give zero stars I would. I contacted the manager regarding this horrible excuse of a take away mac and cheese. As you can see it was loaded with a mountain of stale bread at the top not "bread crumbs" and in a hand made make shift foil "bowl" that's impossible to eat from as the fork just pierces through. And the chips were fried in the oldest oil and inedible. Upon opening the meal at home I called the store to notify them and they mentioned they were closing soon and the manager left early so there's nothing they can do. I called the manager the next day after nobody returned my call and she was extremely rude and said I should have called (which I did!) or brought the meal back (do you really expect me to drive all the way back when I was told the store was closing?). After mentioning my ordeal the manager said that she did a follow up but just didn't get a chance to call (the store is never extremely busy on a week day) and the chef was stressed about finishing the orders for the day and was rushing (then why not turn me away upon ordering but give me trash instead?). She just said she's sorry and she can't replace my meal because they cant give me something for free I should have brought the food back. As if I was just after getting something for free which is quite insulting. The proof is in the pudding have a look at the images I've included and how appetizing it all looks...! I tried calling the restaurant then I tried writing to head office before going public to be fair but I was assigned a case number and received a SMS saying the case was resolved when I wasn't contacted about it at all so how was the case resolved without my involvement? I really dont recommend Mugg & Bean Paddocks AT ALL not if you have tastebuds.

The charcoal was still there. I asked the waiter of he would eat that he said no. I asked him to take them back. I don't know what they did but they returned the same livers for the third time. Now they had a watery yellowish sauce. I told them to cancel the order. Out of the blue, the manager brought the livers herself saying sorry these are different livers. But when I tasted them I could taste that the flavor was stripped from all that washing. Basically, I was the idiot today and I paid for a dish that was not restaurant quality. When I walked out, the other waiters were shocked by the incident because they witnessed the entire thing. I didn't argue, I paid and left. That's no way to treat paying customers. That was such 1 star service. The waiters are always great by the way. Why couldn't they accept their mistake and make new livers? Customers are not idiots. We know restaurant food quality. I had to add all that sauce because the livers tasted like paper.

I wanted to treat my mom and sis for some coffee and cake on Saturday afternoon (9 November 2024) around 13pm as we were passing by. M&B is always my preferred coffee shop. However, this was one of the worst Mugg and Beans that I ever been to. It was shocking to say the least.

Poor service to start with. The waiter that was supposed to serve us (I think) when we were seated was came across too playful but also overbearing as he did not give us a chance to look at the menu and take time to decide what we want to order for drinks when we sat down. He was not professional at all and made us feel somewhat uneasy.

Poor quality. My mom ordered a Berry and lime cake and found a long black and red dyed hair that was baked in the slice of cake as she was busy eating it. This raises a lot of questions...! They brought my mom a complimentary slice of chocolate cake, but it does not make up for it and what we already experienced.

Furthermore, I had a carrot cake that was SO dry! Definitely not freshly baked or what I am use to from M&B, but my sister's cheesecake was nice at least. I also noticed that our cake has been standing out for at least 20min until a waiter picked it up after I asked how long it will still take.

I am very disappointed in the quality and service! The ambiance was off and the restaurant was empty, even though the mall...
