Burger Box Roadhouse — Restaurant in Mogale City Local Municipality

I ordered from Mr Delivery, and the photo clearly showed that I would get chips with my Cowboy burger. When I called Burger Box and complained, they said that it does not come with it, I need to order it separately. I sent them the photo, and after arguing a lengthy time with me, they conceded that they would give me what was advertised. The manager, Tsepho, called me back and said that he spoke with the head office. It is of their opinion that it is just a picture and that it does not come with chips. When I asked surprised that their head office would stand behind the false marketing, a woman shouted from the back that I should not say that. They then very eagerly wanted my address to deliver the chips and coke as per the photo. More than an hour later, I received the low-grade chips that I would not give anyone! I only gave 1 star as there is no option for 0 stars! It went straight to the bin. I never waste food, but I could not stomach it. Cameras these days make everything look great, but I managed to take a few pics that look halfway as bad as they do in real life. My coworkers were disgusted by it and refused to even try it to give their opinion. Somehow, I do not think head office would care, so I won't even tell them of this. I had high respect for Burger Box, but they won't see me soon again. When I showed this to the manager, he said it was because of the season. Odd, my potatoes at home do not look brown, almost blue at some places, I wish the photos had come out better. It looked like chips that were cooked in very old oil and left standing for hours and reheated. My previous review of them was 5 stars, either staff changed or procedures. Milkshakes and Ribs is the best here!!!

However I would recommend the drive through for better service... After last night and on the last 2 x visits the experience wasn't as expected, they ran out of ribs .... can happen, so it was okay?!

We decided to go again .... and. take the kids to the play area and enjoy our dinner at an table, time was around 8pm and moderately busy, after a few minutes, with no waiter pitching.... I had to go and find one.... strike 1

We order drinks, they came after awile, then he informed us that they ran out of one drink ie 3x horlicks .... I politely said next time, before letting us wait, come and tell us, so we can pick something else.... then we waited for sugar... and the other drink, strike 2.

Strike 3 ... please train the waitors on your menu, after about 5/6 attempts to explain what we wanted, he sort of got it, food came then cutlery.....

I wasn't impressed with my cheese burger as it was the same size as the kiddie cheese burger .... especially with the name Burger Box, was my first burger here.... taste was good, but I will rather op for ribs.

Your competitors are all round, poor service and let down om food is sending your clients elsewhere, for what we paid and receive, we could have had a much better experience.

Extremely disappointed my wife and I have been bringing our children to Burgerbox for years to celebrate their birthdays. Last week 22 February my wife treated my son on his birthday and visited Burger Box Krugersdorp. Sadly it was not what we are used to. Instead of plates and cutlery we received everything like it ws a take away there was not even the tray that hooks on the car window. The food was not that wonderful. Got the feeling the order was rushed. Unlike previous years nothing special done in light of a birthday been celebrated just "we don't do that anymore" When it was time to settle the bill, no invoice or cash slip the waiter just guessed an amount out of his head. He said no bill was available. What kind of service is this. Is the Roadhouse under new management? After years of been loyal patrons we were extremely disappointed and on such a special occasion.
