We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cradle Boutique Hotel, and I must say, the experience was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the friendly staff, to the impeccable service and attention to detail throughout our stay, this venue truly exceeded all expectations.

Upon our arrival, we were whisked away on golf carts to our destination, feeling like VIPs from the start. The staff at the reception were not only courteous, but they were also well-prepared and highly informative. They made us feel welcome and took care of all our needs, ensuring a smooth and effortless check-in process.

Staff training is a must for this Restaraunt. We made a booking for lunch and on arrival stood for some time until what I think was a waitress in the passing buy stopped to ask if we had a booking. We were offered a seat anywhere, we opted for outside to have the view which is one of the reasons I gave an extra star in my rating. We waited for around 15 minutes and no beverages had been ordered yet, opposite us on the sun loungers in the Restaraunt a gent took off his shoes and sat with his feet up on the double seater lounger facing us which truly shocked me considering the venue requires bookings and seemed elite, so we opted to move indoors. Still no drinks and when we called upon the waitress she was disgusted at our suggestion that we require service to be slightly quicker. From here everything spiraled downward, dirty glass that had old lipstick stain on the rim, flies on the window and carpet below and beside us, a awful view into the kitchen as the screening didn’t block this off, a fireplace not cleaned from the night before so the smell of ash evident, a cocktail liquidizer screeching non stop as this was placed on the counter in the bar, close enough to the table seatings, a meal that was standard in taste and minimal in portion size and then above all we endured a waitress who either hated her job or needed serious training as I myself was clearing the table to avoid the build up of the beverage cans or alternatively emphasizing please and thank you for everything so she would at-least assist us during the dining experience. Management needs to take a very serious look at what is happening here. On a positive note, the feel of a game park setting , seeing little monkeys in the car park and a short ride in a golf cart brought some light to the already...

I called the restaurant to book a table but was advised that they do not do reservations and that I should walk in

Fortunately my family member called back to double check this and was told that we needed an sms to get into the resort. Great start

My elderly parents were with us so a few individuals walked down to the restaurant so that they could call a golf cart to pick my parents up from the parking.

The golf cart never arrived and despite a few that whizzed past us my parents had to walk down the steep pathway

On arrival at the restaurant our order was taken and an hour later we were still waiting for it. The table next to us however were served had eaten and had even paid for their meal by then - despite arriving after us.

The manager fortuitously walked over to our table stopped to enquire how we were doing. When told we were not happy with the long wait he said “i don’t know anything I just came to ask how you are “

We went backstage and after discussions they gave us a new waiter and a plate of chips for my diabetic parents - which was very kind indeed

Our food eventually arrived - it was good but we were so hungry at that point…..

My biggest concern though is that we were never told what happened and why our order was overlooked and why we were overlooked. No explanation just “we talking to the chef”

Without an explanation and without understanding what happened how can a patron return ?

Overall the service is very very slow but in our case we were completely forgotten about. This of course ruined the whole experience...
