Burger King Ottery Drive-Thru (Halaal) — Restaurant in Ottery

DISTASTEFUL SERVICE AT BK OTTERY ON 11 FEB 2024!!!!!

I came from church and because it was loadshedding, I decided to make a stop at BK OTTERY for a meal for myself and my two teenage kids. When I arrived at BK at 09h49, it was still closed. I drove around the building a couple of times looking for the restaurants times but could not find it. Then finally I saw on the front door that it opens at 10am. I decided to wait in the parking because I would only be waiting for about 10 minutes. At 10am I started my vehicle and drove back to the intercom. It was still off and nobody responded to my calling. Then I drove to the first window. The telly gate was open and I now knew that there were people inside. I called at the window and it remained shut. Finally a lady opened the window, without greeting me, she mumbled,'we are still close'. I said but your notice times says you open at 10am She said, no they open at 10h15 and she went on to ignore me. All this while she was busy preparing putting on her ear phones and mouth piece. I called out to her again at about 10h14 and asked her why she was ignoring me. She said she was waiting on her manager. She shouted something to someone in Xhosa and then I heard laughing. Suddenly a woman appeared infront of me, I was convinced that she was not the manager as she had no name tag on.Neither of them did. I told her what I was experiencing and she just said, we are busy making the product. I said but this lady who was so rude to me, firstly ignored me, then answered me with an attitude and not even looking at me, too busy with her earpiece had not taken my order. All she said was, I'm sorry 😞. I told her I asked the lady why she was at work as I was going to be her first customer for the day so she could definitely not have been tired or frustrated by the day. I then told them, " your customer service is pathetic and why was there no notification stating that they open the store at 10h15. Had I known that I had to wait that long, I would not have waited and I could have then gone to KFC or Mc D. The "manager" just starred at me. I then told them both, 'You should not be in customer service because this is not your business so you just don't care whether BK makes sales or not. And if that's the way you treating me, the first customer for the day, how will they treat customers who arrives at lunch time. Because I already had an appetite for BK, I then drove to Lansdown branch which is further from my home. The smiles and the jovial voice behind that intercom and at the first window was definitely chalk and cheese. The manager there was amazing aswell as the staff. It was a complete different atmosphere. I ended up parking my car and decided to go and eat our meal inside. What a pleasure it was. I am definitely not happy with the service I received at Ottery branch and I do plan on going to BK google reviews to give a review of the pathetic service I received today at Ottery BK.

VERY DISAPPOINTED BK...

Hi. It's the second time I have bought burger King. My first experience was excellent and I've been recommending burger King to friends and family. However my second purchase was last night I was so excited and looked forward to getting my meal. We got our burgers we wanted and dessert and came home to feast. My nightmare started almost immediately after starting to eat my burger I thought it's just me as the rest of my family was enjoying their meal. I went off to bed as my stomach starting paining. I woke up at 4am this morning with severe cramps and at 05:30am I found myself in the toilet vomiting and my stomach was working. My sister got up at 6am and the same thing happened including to my husband shortly there after. Now at first I thought you know it's just me maybe my body wasn't in the mood for burger King but now I'm convinced that I am sick because of this meal as the rest of my family also is suffering the same symptoms. Stomach aches, vomiting, nausea and stomach working like water. I'm very saddened because this is not what I expected as you can see in the picture we couldn't finish our meals and there is a Pic of the slip of last nights purchase of these horrendous meals. Please I'd like a refund I feel like I paid to get sick of these meals instead of to enjoy it.

Bad service delivery... I drove all the way from Surrey Estate to Burger King in Ottery.

I ordered the family beef meal of R200, (order number 136)the guy that took my order explained they were out of nuggets that was part of the family & asked if it was fine if he gave chicken wings instead which I agreed upon,& added a extra whopper, waited about 30 minutes which I didn't mind at all. Only for me to get home & receive 1 whopper short & no wings as agreed but jalapeno fries which wasn't what I agreed upon..

To add to the matter I googled there number, dialled the number only to get out at the head office. After 3 attempts I got through to a consultant who dropped my call the first time because the signal was dropping, second time I call she again dropped my call. I never had the chance to even get her name!!

Very disappointed in Burger King Ottery. It shouldn't be my duty as the customer to check if my order is correct that should be the responsibility of the staff giving the customer there order.. Makes me think if they are trained half or are they just too lazy to double check what goes out there doors.

Im positive I'm not the only person this has happened to, in future could management please ensures this doesn't happen to another...
