Steers Drive Thru — Restaurant in Ottery

I seriously wish I'd checked the reviews before going to this drive thru. I can confirm that this is the worst Steers I have ever been to.

1. Pathetic service & atmosphere, microphone and speaker are faulty on site - you can hardly hear the person. I requested a bottle of Coke when ordering and the lady didnt tell me but they don't do bottles - i wonder if that explains why my Coke tastes so watered down. Seems like the owner/manager is taking shortcuts here (more on this later). I then received my order and had to come back through the drive thru because I wasn't given any serviettes, seasoning, or sauce! And when they gave me sauce it was Tomato and not Steers BBQ as is the standard at all other branches. There was a 15 minute wait time and I was the only one at the store at 12:15 in the afternoon.
2. So with the above mentioned 15 minute wait time I was expecting some decent food - no unfortunately this branch does not hold up the Steers standard we are all used to. My burger bun was completely soggy - i ate immediately after leaving the drive thru. My "cheesy" fries where not cheesy at all. I've never had so little cheese sauce from a store, which makes me suspect there are some shortcuts being taken at the branch to try and bring them some profit.

Dear Owner/manager of this store. Get your act together and stop taking shortcuts. Profit comes from delivering a good service.

Ordered a chicken quarter meal It was a thigh and wing and the chips was old. We asked the cashier to give the cheapest Burger meal and she gives the Prince Burger Meal. This for 1 is not the cheapest meal and chips was disgusting. Now I am a previous Steers Manager and know how the food should look and everything else.i phoned and asked for the cheapest Burger meal the Manager this was at 7pm last night. I explained everything to Alan the Manager last night and sent him pictures. He promised he would get a drive to college the food and Bring fresh and the correct food. I sat upwaiting.At 9:45 Alan whatsapp me and says the drivers drivers shift is over. This This really pissed me off as I had not eaten as I was waiting for my food. Is this how Steers and Famous foods treat their customers. Alan said they will deliver to day. I whatsapp Alan at 8.30am and again at 3pm and tried to phone him but.......no response. Being an ex manager for Steers I am totally disgusted and very disappointed at the service level your brand has dropped too. And as for Alan....all just lies and empty promises. He does not deserve the title Off a manager. Is sad to see the Steers and Famous Brand hit so low on service and presentation of the food Totally disgusted and WONT RECOMMEND STEERS OR FAMOUS...

We decided to try the Steers Ottery drive-thru for the first time yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered two King Steer Cheese Burgers with fries, along with a side of jalapeño-loaded fries. The cashier took our receipt to confirm the order, and as there was no reason to expect an issue, we didn’t think to ask for it back.

When we arrived home—just a two-minute drive away—we were shocked to discover hair strands in the food. We attempted to call the store three times from different numbers, but were repeatedly told they could not hear us on the line. Eventually, they took down our number and said they would contact us via WhatsApp, but we are still waiting for a response.

Given this experience, we will not be purchasing...
