Moltenos is a restaurant I have been acquainted with since its inception. It is situated in the very agreeable quiet village of Onrus a kilometer west of Hermanus.
The owner and his now wife launched their restaurant concept and instantly gained an avid following, which survives to this day. The ambience is in keeping with the tranquil, lay back feel of Western Cape at its best.
Don´t get the impression this is too quiet for your tastes. I have some of my most memorable times there. Coupled with the wholesome, flavoursome and beautifully cooked food it is by far one of the most welcoming venues around.
It may be construed as just my particular view because of my and my wife's long association with Moltenos. It could be levelled that my views are enhanced by the familiarity with restaurant, friends and familiar ambience. We ll that is undeniable

We'll be back on our next...
