Steers — Restaurant in Parow Valley

I’m incredibly disappointed by the service offered at Steers Parow and Uber Eats. After placing my order I was called by Steers and told they do not have any vegetarian patties in stock. The woman on the phone then told me I was able to cancel the order on Uber eats from my side and I confirmed with her that I would be refunded.

Upon cancelling on the Uber eats app I was then told that “to compensate the restaurant and the delivery person for their time” I was charged the full amount of my order. This is ridiculous as the restaurant called me to alert me that they did not have the item in stock and this should not be something I should have to compensate for. I am incredibly disappointed in both Uber eats and steers Parow for this service and most definitely will not be using either again...

Had a mjojo meal (I think that's what it's called) the other day and the burger was very delicious. Absolutely mouth watering. Ordered a cheesy chips with it as this is my favourite, was a bit of a let down. But I went back on Sunday to get me some more cheesy chips. It was the best. The sauce was nice, the fries fresh and crispy. Would definitely be back when I want some more. Cashiers a bit moody, they need to be more friendly and helpful. It's a takeaway joint and when I ask for something they would recommend a plain just check the menu isn't the type of answer one would expect because you give them an opportunity to promote their products. Never have i been more insulted by service providers as I have at Steers Parow. I called to try and cancel my order and my call was received by a manager that spoke to me as if I am a child then further ridiculed my request to cancel the order because she said "the process is going to waste her time" I am simply appalled by such conduct coming from steers employees. This matter should be greatly investigated and I will go the extra mile to ensure that my dissatisfaction is well...
