Del Forno Honeydew - The Ridge Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Roodepoort

Excellent Food. In morning outdoor tables are not ready at opening time, so waste of time planning breakfast meeting here. Had to wait an hour and rearrange plans for the day. No tea available, waitress says Five Roses is out of stock. After 20 minutes no menu brought to table.

Edit: I phoned manager from table to ask for a menu, after writing this review. The waitress complained that I complained, says its not her default there is no tea, and she might lose her job. This complaint from the waitress as my food was served, hence wrecking the meal.

Edit: at the end if the meal the waitress failed to bring the bill outside and I had to walk into the shop to pay the bill. I had earphones in for work and walked through the shop forgetting to pay, since the bill is usually brought to the table. A different waiter stopped me at the exit to remind me to pay. I paid without conversation as I had earphones in and was busy. Then I went to another shop in the center for shopping. When I left the manager if the restaurant was standing outside. He stopped me to complain that I hadn't paid and to tell me I'm not welcome in his shop. That is threatening stalking behavior, making the restaurant and center unsafe for customers. Itookoutmy phone to record the manager stalking and bullying me. Centre security started threatening me, another security risk for shopping at Honeydew Ridge. NEVER EVER AGAIN will my family support here again. After MANY years of being our go to!

We had a horrible experience the past 3 times ordering take aways, but decided to give them another chance. Call it sentiment. Call it loyalty. But never again.

Trying to call them, they only answered after our 14th attempt. The person in the other end was so rude. Trying to finish talking, the phone was just put down ib oy partners ear.

When our food finally arrived, VERY VERY LATE, I could immediately smell something was off.

But we were so hungry and it was already late. We ate the food.

My pasta tasted like it was cooked in dishwater. And the mushrooms tasted very funky.

My partner had the chicken liver pizza. The smell was brutal. And the taste even worse.

That night at about 2 we both had a fever. And the next day we had full on sick. Nauseas and our stomachs was hurting so much.

Ordered on Uber Eats and couldn't properly track the delivery as it was staff from the store delivering. The notification that the delivery was on the way came at 17:36, the delivery promise was between 17:40-18:00. 18:00 came and there was still no sign of the driver. I waited until 18:15 to call the store and ask what is taking so long as it has been over 40 minutes since I was notified it's on the way and I live not even 10min away, guy on the phone tells me he doesn't know but it's definitely on the way...(thanks for the useless information).
