Del Forno Witpoortjie — Restaurant in Roodepoort

I had an emergency and my phones battery had gore flat. I've been to 3 different places fuel stations, that were...well somewhat loss than interested to even Look up at me, than even pretending to just look interested in listening to What my real emergency is. Best I got out of them was a simple No.

So as I was exiting the 3rd...Very helpfull...enthusiastically...NO fuel station, I noticed as it was dark middle winter. around 20H30, I notice this little place lights is on sand there i s a few Cars parked infront. So I drove up and YES they are still open and even if they want help with charger cable then atleast I could finally get some warm coffee. I walked in and instant more than friendly people looking absolutely like they just won the lotto or Something or it wat just me not expecting it after the previous 3 places - which actually became the norm to expect -. So these two friendly people immediately ask what they can help me with. I Explained that I desperately guest wereled to charge my Phone and that I have an car lighter adaptor just not the cable So immediately the young guy took a back at my phone and handed me his own cable which he were bussy using it himself. I paid for the coffee and told me I could sit wait inside or even will bring the coffee to my car if I'd prefer that.

I Was absolutly amazed that friendly and Very helpfull client services...

When your order via the app goes wrong... again!

After a year we decided to give Del Forno Witpoortjie another chance...

ORDER/EXPECTATIONS Standard Mexican Carne with extra fresh chillies Alla Pappa with no avo Cream soda 2l

DELIVERY/REALITY Mexican with fresh chillies Carne without fresh chillies Alla Pappa with avo Coke less sugar

The order was placed via the app, so there is realy no reason for any confusion. Yet, here we are again, left disappointed.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but when you spend almost R400 on an order you expect it to be correct when you receive it!

REVIEW FROM A YEAR AGO.... 2nd time in 2 weeks they messed up our order via the app... they don't even deserve 1 star. Owner phoned us after the first issue and advised that issue occured due to system failure. Someone also made the executive decision to replace feta with mushrooms (because they didn't have feta in stock) without confirming this with the client. Who does this? It doesn't even fall within the same food group!!! When they replaced the order it was burned and not to standard. Now.. 2 weeks later and they messed up again. They offered to replace the pizza... but once bitten twice shy. Should we order from them again? I don't think so. An apology doesn't...

Been a year since I last ordered from this place (everyone deserves a second chance right?) But what an absolute disappointment once again...

How difficult can it be to read an order sent via the app? I reached out to the General Manager who asked what the issue was, I responded and have not heard a peep since...

Funny thing I noticed when reading reviews is that they are quick to respond to positive reviews, but anything else just gets ignored.

if you want service and what you actually ordered, then stay far away from this establishment, they have not managed to get their house in order after a year, doubt it will ever happen...
