Roman's Pizza Weltevreden Park — Restaurant in Roodepoort

On the 23rd May 2023 between 16:30 and 17:30 me and son went to this Romans Pizza to buy pizza for supper, I had my purse, phone and car keys in my hands. Inside this shop was a couple with their toddler girl, the woman was running around the toddler who seemed to be learning to walk, the guy was waiting for their order by the counter. Me and my son went to the counter to place our order and pay, I placed my iphone 14 PRO MAX at the counter as opened my purse to pay, I then took the receipt and moved away from the counter, I played with the toddler a little bit and had a little conversation with the woman, telling her how cute her baby is, We then decided to go wait for our pizza in the car, while I was in the car I thougth, let me check my messages, that was when I realised that I do not have my phone, I went back inside, my phone was gone, I took my son's phone and tried calling my phone, it was already switched off, I then realised that it was stolen, I asked the cashier that was assisting me, she said she didnt see it, when I ask for camera footage , they said their Cameras ARE NOT WORKING! that was the end of my phone, No one else came in that shop when my phone vanished, it was just that couple, us and the people working at this Romans pizza. How can my phone just vanish like that? How can you have cameras that are not working, what if someone dies? What if we get robbed in this shop, no cameras to see...

Unfortunate that the service has gotten so bad, this used to be a wonderful close quick take away option, the staff were professional and efficient and had customer etiquette. This has all changed very much. All u have to do is call to have ur first bad experience, the agent from the Romans Weltevredenpark says a whole paragraph so fast u cant understand a word. Then u proceed to place the order and you are required to repeat it at least 3 times before the agent gets it, not to mention the constant shouting from the agent on the phone with you with other colleagues while on the phone with you. It's rather bad etiquette and having someone screaming in your ear, not understanding a reasonably simply order and then assisting you as if you have been done some huge favour is so sad and makes me miss the days of businesses treating customers with some professionalism or at least...

I'm extremely disappointed with the service at Romans Pizza Weltevredenpark. I ordered online and was given order number 98, but somehow order 100 got serviced before me. When I inquired about the delay, the staff simply told me "we are busy, sorry sir" despite there being only 4 customers waiting. I had to wait for over half an hour, which is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. I've experienced similar delays in the past, including one instance where I had to wait for over 45 minutes. I even called the owner to complain the first time it happened, but it seems like nothing has been done to address the issue.

It's clear that the store is not capable of handling online orders efficiently, and the lack of effort to improve the service is appalling. Until they can get their act together, I would not recommend ordering from Romans Pizza...
