Yukon Spur — Restaurant in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, but the overall service sucks. The host took us to our table which they had to clean while we stood at our table and it was taking them for ages to clean the table. Then we decided between ourselves to move to another table but there was nobody attentive and anticipating our needs. My wife eventually went to find the manager to tell him where we want to sit which he came and setup the table. Waitress took our order which too way to long to come, but they were busy so we waited. After reciveing our food and after few minutes our waitress check up with us if everything was ok, but that was the last we saw her. Our daughters were playing at the play area where we sat and the african lady took good care of our youngest as she played. Another coloured girl also watching over the kids was pretty useless as she sat on a table seat watching her phone instead of assisting with the kids. She was eventually told by the African lady that she needs to stand up and watch the kids (sorry for using different race, but I didn't get their names). After a long time finishing our meals we couldn't find our waitress after searching the restaurant. My wife then got the manager and he sent another waitress and she apologised for our absent waitress. We asked for the bill and we then proceed to the front desk to pay, we didn't even...

NEVER AGAIN! ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING!!! Stopped by for a good meal on our way home after a date night. What an extremely disappointing experience. The steak was bland. My hubbie was served burnt, sloggy onion rings drenched in what tasted like old oil. He politely asked for proper onion rings and was served the same as before. And no, the food was definitely not cheap - we ordered the rump steak with bacon and garlic and cheese sauce. The worst part for us was the EXTREMELY unprofessional and immature short, white guy (not the waiter) where we paid in front. He pretended to be a clown with no interest whatsoever in what we politely reported to him about the really substandard onion rings. What a disgrace!!! The people of the Weskus and our tourists and families deserve proper service. If you want to be in the hospitality industry, you should do the basics right and also treat customers with respect. I will definately not recommend you to anyone! If you are not serious about service delivery to our deserving and paying customers who are entitled to be served proper food and not be treated like a joke, get out of the industry. Definately the worst Spur service I've ever encountered. We drove 30km to have a meal after a very long day. When we arrived we we sat down as usual, we had to wait 17 min for our server "Femke" to eventually arrived. This after some of the other customers around us was in disbelief that we hadn't been served yet. We sensed a very unpleasant tense atmosphere soon as we walked in. This was affirmed by the unfriendly face that met us to take our order. Before I I could even utter a sentence, she turned away and walked off to some other customers. My wife and I there and then realized that we were probably not very welcome at spur tonight and decided to leave. So we arrived still hungry, even more tired and unnecessary fuel expenses. As we walked out, no one, including Femke, the manager or paypoint staff even tried to enquire why we were leaving after just 20 minutes. We love spur food but don't think we'll be back at Vredenburg spur anytime soon, despite the fact that we regularly ate there before.
