Bootlegger Clara Anna — Restaurant in Western Cape

I have been for coffees and a couple of breakfasts, which have always been enjoyable...sadly Mothers Day was a disaster and spoilt for me! Why have an open menu when the kitchen could clearly not cope. We arrived at 10am...ordered our breakfast, all simple orders, by 10.30 and then the wait!!!! Our coffees and drinks order arrived timeously. Our breakfast arrived at 11.45 just as we were on the verge of walking out!! We asked, even going inside to query, numerous times with one excuse after another. Shocking service overall, even the Manager.....we could have been offered a complimentary coffee/drink. It will take a long time before I return which is such a shame as it is 5 minutes from my home.

Strategically located next to Clara Anna fontein Estate. Clientel is someone who want to experience the finer life. Pricing is not extravagant if you choose your meal correctly. Portions are well presented. It's not to fill you up but to enjoy the company while eating. It lacks presentation as is noted in the other posts. Today after visiting a few times our waiter Roxy was friendly smiling and even explained the menu. I came for coffee but had a wrap chips and coffee.
