하회식당 — Restaurant in Andong-si

Amazing food. We were worried about falling in a tourist trap due to the location of the restaurant, but we were all wrong. The food was delicious, and it's definitely a place where you want to try Korean specialities.

On top of that, the young lady was very helpful. It started as soon as we looked at the menu outside. She came quickly to give us a menu with pictures of the dishes and went back to the restaurant. No pushy invitation whatsoever. She then made sure we had everything we needed during our meal, coming several times to fill our side dishes, always smiling to our broken Korean.

바쁘셔서 그렇다고 애써 위안하더라도.. 인사까지는 안바래도 사람이 들어와서 기다리다가 주문하려고 하면 응대정도는 해줘야지, 유령취급.. 눈길 한번 안주고 “주문 할게요” 두어번 말해도 대꾸는 커녕 돌아보지도 않고ㅋ 옆에서 기다리던 커플 음식 기다리는줄 알았는데 주문하려고 기다리다가 그냥 돌아감. 우리도 돌아감. 양반도시라서 그런가.. 하염없이 양반의 마음으로 느긋하게 기다려야 되는 곳인듯ㅋ I felt bad... Staffs weren't reaction when customers come in, but I saw respond only to a customers of group. I called them for ordering when they passing my side, two times. But they had no answer, even they didn't see to me. Maybe someone think about this happened in cases of the restaurant was noisy or my voice was too low, in possibility. However the restaurant was quiet at that time, just some customers, and I have loud voice my girl friend warns to noisy frequently. 'They are busy now..' I tried to think positive. But a couple seating our side table went out. I thought they were waiting their ordered meals, but they were same to us, were waiting to staffs for ordering. We also left the restaurant. I guess the staffs likes only...

The chicken and the mackerel are both fantastic. Little bit touristy but the food is good, it's run by a couple of older woman who have their flow down but don't expect fast or Seoul level service, it's just a granny doing her best. Over all,...
