🥩 Kobe Gyukatsu, Seomyeon – Review

I recently visited Kobe Gyukatsu in Seomyeon, which has been getting a lot of attention lately. The restaurant has a clean, modern, and slightly upscale atmosphere that sets the mood for a nice meal.

✔️ Menu & Taste

I ordered their signature Gyukatsu Set. The beef came perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside, served rare so you can sear it to your liking on your own mini grill. The meat quality was excellent — no unpleasant smell, very soft texture — and the variety of dipping sauces (wasabi soy sauce, house special sauce, curry sauce) kept every bite interesting.

✔️ Service & Atmosphere

The staff was very friendly and explained how to enjoy the meal, which is great for first-time visitors. The seating layout is spacious and quiet enough for conversations, so it’s comfortable whether you’re dining alone or with company.

It’s slightly pricier than a typical pork cutlet meal, but considering the quality of the meat and the overall experience, I’d say it’s well worth it. (Around 15,000–20,000 KRW per person for a set.)

최근 서면에서 화제가 되고 있는 고베규카츠를 다녀왔습니다. 일본식 규카츠 전문점답게 내부 인테리어부터 깔끔하고 고급스러운 분위기가 인상적이었어요.

대표 메뉴인 규카츠 정식을 주문했습니다. 고기 겉은 바삭하고 속은 촉촉한 미디엄레어 상태로 나와서 개인 화로에 원하는 만큼 구워 먹을 수 있는 방식이 정말 매력적이었습니다. 고기의 질감이 부드럽고 잡내 없이 깔끔했습니다. 와사비 간장, 특제 소스, 카레 소스 등 곁들임이 다양해 끝까지 질리지 않고 먹을 수 있었어요.

직원분들이 친절하게 먹는 법을 안내해주셔서 처음 가는 사람도 편안했습니다. 자리 간격도 넓어서 주변 눈치 안 보고 식사할 수 있고, 내부가 조용해서 대화하기 좋았습니다.

규카츠 특성상 일반 돈카츠보다는 가격대가 조금 높지만, 고기의 퀄리티와 경험을 생각하면 합리적인 편입니다. (1인 세트 기준 약 1.5만~2만 원대)

I’m at Kobe Gyukatsu today and I’m excited to share my experience with you all. As someone who loves Korean BBQ and Korean cuisine, I’ve been looking forward to trying their signature dish and seeing what the hype is all about. The restaurant has a really cozy vibe, similar to what you’d find in a great Seomyean restaurant back in Korea, and the service is fantastic. The beef cutlet is served perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It’s a great combination of flavors and textures, and while it’s not exactly Korean BBQ, the flavors are just as satisfying. I can’t wait to come back and try more...

It is a restaurant that has the advantage of being able to grill and eat it directly. It's delicious but quite expensive. The amount of food is a little small compared to the price. The advantage is that the cost-effectiveness is good when ordering a set menu. I like it because there is a lot of drinks that come with it. Sometimes the grill of gyukatsu is dirty. It's really good considering that disadvantage. Among foods, soybean soup is really delicious. It's okay to go to this restaurant once, but I don't think I'll go there often. I recommend you to go when you have a lot of money and want to eat...
