Wife and I decided we wanted some good bbq and after reading several reviews from the military community in Daegu, we opted to head over and give the Dong Daegu location a try. We showed up two hours before opening without realizing that the place didn’t open until 1700. As my wife and I were contemplating where to go for lunch, the owner saw us and opened up early for us. We were absolutely grateful especially since we leave back for Japan next week and were craving some good U.S. BBQ. The service and the food were outstanding and the price was reasonable. This place is a must go to when in Daegu, South Korea. We are from Texas and I have to say, his BBQ is one of the best or better yet, is the best we’ve ever had. Pulled pork was great! Wings was delish! Ribs has just so perfect and brisket was best we ever had! Most importantly was customer service! Was served complimentary mojitos! Complete surprise! Way out in the country. Never did I expect very good American style barbecue; brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and much more. Didn’t have the ribeye but I wish I tried it because I’m sure it’s also delicious. The rolls and sides were very good. Also tried the squid ink pasta with shrimp and it was delicious!
