Bistro Public — Restaurant in Daejeon

Been there several times just not anymore. Their interior and vive are great in the restaurant but every other things are disappointing. They always overcook pasta that it comes out with a LOT of steam like they know nothing about al dente. They also keep their wines and serve at freezing cold temperature which is a shame for a "bistro" they claim. Therefore the glass of red wine I ordered tasted horrible. And lastly they served french fries with the steak without any notice, where their menu said mashed potato would come out as a side. We had to cook ourselves another perfect plate of steak...

Soooo good. One of few places you can have a legit pasta in daejeon. Chicken Ratatouille was great too. Pretty spacious. Good date restaurant. I suggest not to drive though. Parking is disastrous. Ah. You can park in Yoosung 구청 district...

워낙 평도 좋고 유명해서 꼭 가보고 싶었던 비스트로퍼블릭! 인테리어도 어둡고 나무가 많은 세련된 느낌이라 좋았어요.

밀라노식 커틀렛 (❤️4.0) 17,900₩ 슈니첼을 먹는듯한 얇은 돼지고기 안심에 튀김옷을 얇게 발라 튀겨낸 커틀렛, 그리고 그 위에 치즈를 그레이팅해 올렸다. 여기에 레몬즙을 살짝 뿌려먹으면 짭쪼름한 고기의 맛과 어우러지면서 상큼함이 느끼함을 중화시켜준다. 맨 위에 올라간 레자노 치즈의 또 다른 짭쪼름함과 꼬릿함까지 잘 어울렸던. 다만 좀 많이 짜서 이걸 중화시켜줄 샐러드나 다른 메뉴를 함께 시키면 좋을 듯..

바질 크림 랑귀니 (❤️3.6) 18,900₩ 내가 너무 좋아하는 바질페스토와 크림의 조합이라 시키지 않을 수 없었다! 우선 소스에 바질을 아낌없이 넣어주시고 꾸덕한 크림소스는 너무 맛있었다. 그리고 사이에 거의 희박한..ㅎ 새우와 관자 살들, 그리고 잣(?)이 들어있다. 베이스는 너무 좋았는데, 면의 익힘이 너무 아쉬웠다. 면을 입에 넣은 순간 동료와 눈이 딱 마주치면서 덜익었나..? 하는 생각이 들었다. 군데군데 딱딱한 부분이 있어서 좀 당황.. 그래도 소스가 맛있어서 마지막엔 소스만 먹었다.

총평: 비싼 가격과 깔끔한 인테리어로 분위기 내고싶은 날 찾을만한 곳이에요. 대전에서 쉽게 찾아볼 수 없는 새로운 메뉴들을 도전하기엔 좋지만, 가격에 비해 만족스러운 식사를 하진 못한 것...
