Daddy's Barbeque — Restaurant in Gyeonggi

You need to add your number to a digital wait queue, but they don’t update it quickly. Our wait time was 25 minutes and we waited around 40. The food also took a long time to arrive; but it was almost fully or fully cooked by the time it arrived.

But there is an air conditioned waiting room!

We ordered the family course; it came with 3 servings of pork belly, one serving of marinated meat, and 1 shrimp serving, 1 vegetable plate, soy bean soup aka dweongjang jjigae, and 2 high ball cocktails or mock tails. (145,000 won ish)

I believe it was 15,000-20,000 won discounted from the original total ( maybe 165000)

Up to 30 minutes wait from order till the meat is served as the restaurant grills it for you first. We ordered the saenggogi (pork belly/pork chop) and galbi (pork ribs). Saenggogi smelled like it has been rotting for weeks. Staff insisted the meat is fine when you can literally smell it on the grilling pan but said they would change it for us anyways. Ended up waiting for an hour in total without any food before the owner came to chase us out (???). Totally a Korean horror story. The place is really far and we had to climb up a 70deg slope to get there only to be refused...

My father discovered this place from a YouTube video and thought it would be a great place to eat during our family's 2.5 week road trip through Korea.

What a wonderful place! Whole many reviews have already talked about the food, I'd like to add the experience after the meal was so lovely! There is a rooftop area for post-diners to relax and enjoy a campfire along with the view!
