I go to this place quite often and overall enjoy being there. For a person who is used to customer orientedness of staff from Emart, Home Plus or other Korean stores, Costco Songdo's staff seem to let themselves to show rude or "commanding" attitude towards customers. For instance today inside the elevator I needed to press the floor button. There was a cart on the way which, apparently, had been left behind by the previous riders. While reaching the button I ended up moving the cart farther back so that it wouldn't be disturbing other customers. After a few seconds when almost reaching my floor I noticed one of elevator riding workers murmuring to his coworker some disapproving words mentioning something like me making theit work harder by moving the cart. And it was said in Korean using street talk, which is very rude in Korean culture. My mind was too busy at the time to actually pay attention and reply them with something but it was too late already. I was on the way out. The same kind of annoyed attitude I seem to be getting from time to time by some of the staff here. I get the imression that some of their staff members seem to act as if they are working at a managerial position of a prestigious international company. The good thing is not all of them act that way but at the same time the bad thing is far too many of them act this way. The administration needs to work on politeness and professionalism of their staff.
