Mamma’s Korean BBQ is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic Korean barbecue without breaking the bank. The quality of the meat is genuinely impressive for the price point—everything from the beef to the marinated chicken was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Portion sizes were generous, and the side dishes were regularly topped up without even having to ask. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.
The overall setup is casual yet clean, and while the place can get a bit smoky during peak hours, the ventilation does a decent job. We found the tables near the corner had slightly better airflow, so worth asking for that spot if available.
Service was quick and friendly, with the staff checking in regularly without being intrusive. It’s the kind of place where you can go with friends, eat well, and still leave with a smile and a full stomach.
All in all, a very satisfying experience with great value for money. I’m giving it 4 stars—not because anything was wrong, but just because there’s still room to level up the ambiance and ventilation setup. Still, definitely recommend and will...
Read moreI initially thought I had to order BBQ, but it turns out that only a small handful of patrons did. While dining here, I was the only foreigner, but even though I don't speak Korean, the staff were still very friendly. They didn’t refill my banchan, but I wasn’t offended—I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish that much food anyway.
I originally wanted to order a soupy dish, but the staff recommended a stir-fry instead. Since I asked for a recommendation, I felt paiseh to choose something else 🤣. Surprisingly, it came with a small tofu stew on the side, along with a claypot of rice, which I politely declined. I really enjoyed the dish with the generous servings of fresh raw vegetables provided.
I arrived before the dinner crowd, but the place quickly became bustling. Still, I was able to read and get some work done—they leave you alone to enjoy your meal. A lovely little nook of a...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting Korea, and I was genuinely excited to try authentic Korean BBQ. We decided to go to this restaurant because it shows that it closes at 10.00 PM on NEVER map. We arrived at the restaurant around 8:30 PM and received our food by 9:00 PM. However, just half an hour later, a waitress came over and began rushing us to finish grilling. What shocked us most was her rude and disrespectful behaviour- she rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and made us feel unwelcome in several other subtle ways. While we truly enjoyed the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere, the poor service left us extremely disappointed. Given the relatively high prices, we expected a much more respectful and professional experience. Unfortunately, this unpleasant encounter significantly dampened what should have been a memorable first...
