Cafe Mou Moon — Restaurant in Jeju

Kitty and I were on a fantastic bike adventure around Jeju Island, cycling anti-clockwise along the Jeju Fantasy Bike Path. We knew we had to stop at Cafe Mou Moon, based on its impressive Google reviews and the many mentions of its delicious bread and relaxing atmosphere. And let me tell you, it absolutely lived up to the hype.

Cafe Mou Moon is located in a modern building in the Woljeong-ri area, with large glass windows that offer stunning ocean views.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by a spacious and airy interior with a modern, almost minimalist design. The large windows continued to showcase the breathtaking ocean view. The dark hardwood floors and simple dark-coloured wooden tables and chairs, along with a long bench, created a sophisticated yet comfortable feel. The elevated position of the seating area suggested a potentially panoramic view. The lighting appeared natural and bright, further enhancing the spacious feel. The colour scheme was muted and neutral, contributing to a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.

The real star of Cafe Mou Moon is the bakery. The display showcased a wide variety of fresh pastries, breads, and what appeared to be sweet treats. The presentation was neat and organized, with each item clearly displayed. We were immediately spoiled for choice with their amazing selection of breads as they all looked so delicious and unique, some with flavors and designs we’d never seen before in our own country. We asked the staff for recommendations, and we were so tempted to try everything, but we had already had lunch and were on a cafe hopping mission.

We ended up ordering a Mango cake, carrot bread, caramel latte, and a cappuccino, which came to 32,500 Won,

Kitty absolutely loved the mango cake while I fell in love with the melon bread. It was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of flavours. The mango cake was also tasty, but we found the mango flavour to be a bit more on the sour side than sweet. We prefer a sweeter mango, so maybe the mango was out of season. But overall, it was a tasty treat.

The coffee was just as amazing as the bread. Seriously, everything here is delicious. We highly recommend Cafe Mou Moon to anyone visiting Jeju Island. REVIEW: Cafe Mou Moon is on the 2nd floor which can be accessed via an elevator.

🤍 Food was yummy. English tags help to navigate the breads. Our favourite was the croissant filled with crab mayo! Matcha latte was perfect.

🏖 In terms of atmosphere, the full ceiling to floor windows giving view of the beach was beautiful. Also, there's public parking nearby as well as parking in front. Underneath Cafe Mou Moon is also a tourist store that you can browse after breakfast.
