First time to Jeju and with soo much options for black pork it’s hard to navigate finding the right one! Luckily came across this place and what’s cool about it is that it’s not your usual touristy hotspot, rather it’s more local neighborhood vibes. The staff is really friendly and although there is a wait, expect to be seated fairly quickly. Unlike some other places that are very popular on the island. Their meat is also dry aged, and they have a very simple menu that you can choose from and that shows a lot about what they are serving and that you are getting the best quality in the meat you are eating. I recommend getting the fried rice. And if you’re with a big group, definitely try all the meats. They having a good assortment of the sides they have staff that could also assist you if your traveling to Jeju. I highly recommend making this your first stop for black pork on Jeju island! I came with a few family members who are more comfortable speaking Mandarin Chinese than English, but luckily they always have some staff members who can communicate perfectly in Chinese.

We had such a fantastic experience at Dogalbi Restaurant in Jeju! The food was absolutely delicious – the meat was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But what really made the evening unforgettable was the service. Our table host, Tommy (Sang Do), went above and beyond. He not only grilled the meat for us to perfection, but also shared so much information about the dishes and Jeju itself. On top of that, he was friendly, fun to talk to, and made the whole experience so enjoyable.
