The best places to find local delicacies are often tucked away and far from the usual well-beaten tourist pathways. Gyorae black pork is one example of this phenomenon.

A narrow lane between two other businesses leads you behind and to an unassuming structure that contains great things.

Solid selection of banchan and pork grilled to its most delicious point, dipped into a fish sauce and eaten as a ssam with pickled perilla leaves or lettuce.

Jjigae to accompany and a delicious red rice blend to add to the stew.

Was quite a long drive but it was worth it. Pork here was really good, we ordered a set for 2 with a bit of everything.

Staff were Mainland Chinese so communication wasn't a problem since we could speak Mandarin with them. They were pretty honest and adviced us not to over-order. Apparently the boss treats them well so they work happily, and that translates to good service.

Place was a little smoky though, there was a company dinner going on or something cos a huge bunch of people came in and all cooked together at...
