The most delicious meal I've had in Jeju, maybe in the top 10 meals ever. I came here 5 years ago and couldn't wait to eat here again, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the beltfish grilled and stewed, and it was amazingly delicious! The grilled beltfish is perfectly grilled with a splash of sea salt. The stewed beltfish comes in a slightly spicy broth with octopus, shrimp, radish, potatoes, onions, rice cakes, and they will throw in some abalone if you're nice. When you've eaten all the stew, they will drop in some ramen in the amazing broth. It came out with a bunch of delicious sides (banchan), black rice, soup, and they even have a soju made on the island that you can't get elsewhere. The service was phenomenal, the owner came over personally to see to everything and even gave us a bib as a gift. It might be a tad expensive but it is worth every penny. Highly, highly...
Read moreWe were introduced to this restaurant by our Airbnb host. Parking is easy and the restaurant is located on the first floor in a building. The staff here speaks Mandarin. She recommended the set menu for 2-3pax which is at 100k KRW. Cooking time is a 20 minutes wait. The cutlassfish is served grilled with sea salt and also in a stew broth. I prefer the grilled fish. The stew is spicy and too heavily flavored for me. At the end of the meal they put in ramyeon. The fish has lots of tiny bones, not suitable for kids to eat. It was also a chore for me to separate out the bones. Overall an average...
Read moreTried hairtail cutlass fish in 2 ways - seafood stew and grilled versions, and both are very delicious!! It’s a must to try both versions here. The set meal comes with sea urchin seaweed soup and banchan (which includes soy marinated raw mini crabs!), and also ramyeon to soak up all that seafood stew! It was so good we topped up another portion of ramyeon to finish our meal. It is a little pricey considering that seafood is not supposed to be very expensive here in jeju, but the portions are...
