대학 교정 내에 단풍이 물들었네요. 다시 찾아본 겨울에 한라산에 덮힌 눈과 하늘 양떼구름이 조화롭네요.

1951년 제주향교 명륜당에 설립한 제주대학원(濟州大學園)을 모체로 하여 1952년 도립 제주초급대학으로 설립되었다. 교훈은 진리, 정의, 창조이다. 1955년 도립 4년제 대학으로 승격하고, 1962년 국립으로 이관하였으며, 1982년 종합대학으로 승격하였다. 2008년 제주교육대학교와 통합하여 제주교육대학은 제주대학교 사라캠퍼스로 운영되고 있다. 10개 대학원(일반대학원, 교육대학원, 경영대학원, 행정대학원, 사회교육대학원, 산업대학원, 보건복지대학원, 통역번역대학원, 의학전문대학원, 법학전문대학원), 15개 단과대학(인문대학, 사회과학대학, 경상대학, 사범대학, 생명자원과학대학, 해양과학대학, 자연과학대학, 공과대학, 의과대학, 교육대학, 수의과대학, 간호대학, 예술디자인대학, 미래융합대학, 약학대학)으로 구성되어 있다. 교육지원시설로 중앙도서관·정보통신원·박물관·외국어교육관·평생교육원 등이 있으며, 연구시설로 탐라문화연구소·방사능이용연구소·아열대농업연구소·관광산업연구소·섬연구소·정보통신연구소 등이 있다. 기타시설로 언론미디어센터·중소기업종합지원센터·이어도연구센터·과학영교육원 등이 있으며, 교육대학부설초등학교·부설중학교·부설고등학교 등이 있다. 전시창작분과·공연예술분과·체육분과·교양봉사분과·학술분과·종교분과 등에 속하는 동아리가 활동 중이며, 학업 성적이 우수하고 품행이 바른 학생과 가계형편상 학자금 지원이 필요한 학생들에게 지원하는 교내외 장학금이 있다. 아라캠퍼스는 제주특별자치도 제주시 제주대학로 102에, 사라캠퍼스는 제주특별자치도 제주시 일주동로 61에...
