Donkey and I purposely drove to Mongle Woljeong-ri, a charming cafe on Jeju Island, after reading about it on the Little Red Book and seeing good reviews on Google. We were excited to try their famous snacks and enjoy the beautiful ocean views.

The cafe itself was really charming, with a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing design. We loved the beautiful decor and the relaxed atmosphere. It's definitely Instagrammable, with plenty of opportunities to capture some beautiful photos. We decided to try some of the snacks that were recommended in the Little Red Book. The cafe didn't have samples, so we had to buy a box first to try them. We bought a little box of 6 pieces which came with peanut flavour, matcha flavor, and chocolate flavour. The snacks didn’t quite live up to the hype we’d seen on the Little Red Book. They were okay, but not the "wow" factor we were expecting. The price was also a bit on the expensive side.

don’t really get the hype around these cookies. i mean they are just pretty basic butter cookies that are a cute cloud shape. we bought all 3 flavors and felt the peanut one was our favourite. you can’t really taste much matcha in their matcha one and the chocolate just kinda tastes like cheap chocolate filling. the staff are very helpful and speak chinese as well ( guess you can tell who their biggest customer...
