신화회포차 — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Was driving past going back to Marriot Resort Jeju Shinhwa World. Saw it and decided to have dinner. Arrived at about 8.45 pm and they were clearing tables after probably a big party of dinners. The tables were all joined together. We thought it was closed but our rudimentary Korean understood them to tell us to wait for a while.

The Chef speaks a bit of English. Used Google translate to translate the menu on the board.

Ordered the set A sashimi with prawns.

Also ordered the grilled mackerel.

The Banchan was not too bad and came with nurunji (scorched rice). The sashimi came first with white fish. Not sure what fish but it was fresh and delicious. Then the sushi. Then the prawns. The staff taught us how to eat it. Grab it by the tail and suck the body out. Really sweet and delicious.

Decided to end the meal by ordering seafood ramyeon. Again delicious. Came with some prawns , squid legs , half a small crab and mussels. Polished it up. Really a surprise find.

Not very expensive I think. 85000won for the sashimi and 15000w for...
