*Myeongdonggwan Review – A Hidden Gem for Traditional Korean Food* If you’re in Seoul and craving some really authentic Korean food, you have to check out *Myeongdonggwan*. It’s a bit tucked away in Daechi-dong, but trust me, it’s totally worth finding. This place has been around since 1996, and it’s all about serving high-quality, traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist. What makes it extra special is Chef Kwon Myeong-sook, who’s an expert in *Yangban Han-sik* (traditional Korean medicine food), so every dish is not only delicious but also healthy. What I Tried: 1. Kalman Set : This was such a great way to experience a variety of Korean flavors all in one meal. The set came with several little dishes, each one offering something different. 2. Nakji Bibim Kalguksu : This was definitely the most exciting dish I tried! It’s a spicy, stir-fried octopus dish with handmade noodles. The octopus was super tender, and the noodles had a great chewy texture. The sauce was a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and smoky—definitely a must-try if you love a little kick with your food. Ambiance & Special Features: The restaurant itself is really cozy and elegant. They have private rooms if you want a more intimate dining experience, which is perfect for family dinners or special celebrations (like a big birthday or anniversary). It’s also a great spot for a business meal or gathering. If you’re coming with a group, definitely make a reservation through Naver or Catch Table, as they can fit up to 80 people in their private rooms! Final Thoughts: If you want to try some truly authentic Korean food, *Myeongdonggwan* is the place to go. The food is made with so much care and attention to detail, and you can really taste the difference. Whether you’re a local or a tourist in Seoul, you’ll have an unforgettable experience here. Definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to dive deep into Korean cuisine!

Andong Cold Bean Noodles at Myeongdonggwan in Gangnam I ate Daechi kalguksu, which has a 30-year tradition. Not only noodles, but also master's soy sauce marinated crab. Kimchi made every morning. It is said that there is potato pancake made from potatoes grown directly in Andong. You can bring more kimchi yourself. It is Myeongdonggwan at Dogok Station in Gangnam, where there is a healthy Korean table. I made a reservation and was guided to the room. It's Myeongdong Hall in Gangnam, which is good for company dinners because there is a projector karaoke device in a large room. It is a Korean restaurant with a 30-year tradition and is said to be a favorite Korean restaurant for celebrities and politicians. Korean food made by the CEO of the Korean Food University. the food is clean and delicious. I recommend Gangnam Myeongdong Hall for Dogok Korean food.

I recently visited Myeongdong-gwan and was absolutely delighted with the experience! The soy sauce marinated crab (ganjang-gejang) was packed with meat, and the seasoning was so addictive - truly a perfect companion to rice. The kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) was also fantastic, with its rich broth and chewy noodles. We went as a family and really appreciated having a private room, which allowed us to enjoy our meal in peace. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, which made the whole dining experience even better. My parents were particularly impressed with how clean and delicious everything was, which made me really happy. I'm so thrilled to have found such an excellent Korean restaurant near Dogok Station. The quality is outstanding! I'm already planning my next visit - this time with friends! 😊
