We came here with no expectations. Surprised by the Christmas tree next to the entry we entered to a door opposite of an art gallery or so. The room is in a circular shape and around another Christmas tree are several tables and chairs as well as armchairs. The menu is in Korean, but all the dishes are named and written in English too (if you can not read Korean our waiter was fluent in English and the first side is coffees, second side juice and similar stuff, last side is wine and beer). We ordered a medium sized pizza for two. While waiting we were served a soup as apperetive, then received the main dish and it was finished with a desert (all we ordered was the pizza and we received a menu with three courses. The soup was a wonderful cream soup, the pizza tasty but a bit heavy on the cheese side and came with green salad and for the desert we could choose between teas, coffee and ice-cream. When we paid we got the biggest surprise (very affordable)
If you don't mind Christmas in any time of the year, I can highly...
Read moreThis was such a great restaurant. It's tagged as Italian and we can understand why but it's not simply pizza and pasta, it really deserves credit. We were so pleased that we went twice (it helped the fact that our guesthouse, Casa Seorak, is just 2 min walking distance, but we would have taken the bus if necessary). Service is perfect, food is delicious and the place is cosy (the all-year Christmas theme is weird but it's fine). We ordered Pork cutlets, Spaguetti with shrimps, Spaguetti al aglio and steak burger. Nice portions, really good taste, no greasy at all. One important thing to note; the food was served hot and stayed hot for a while, that's an achievement and speaks volumes of the chef. It's not Korean cuisine but you can get wrong with this place and the price is a steal (specially if you don't order alcohol) since any main dish will come with a starter and...
Read moreI am Korean American visiting Korea and wanted to try non-Korean food today. I google searched 속초 맛집 (Sokcho best Foods) and came across this restaurant. When we entered, no one was here so don’t be alarmed if you are the only ones here. The waiter and chef had a cute working relationship with good communication as they prepared and served our food. Each entree is appropriately priced and came with garlic bread, soup for appetizer, then salad and pickles during the meal. Lastly, we received dessert which included coffee/tea and ice cream. My mushroom potato pasta was 15,000 won and my dads donkatsu (pork cutlet) was 12,000 won. We loved the quietness (hard to find in korean restaurants), and peaceful interior decor. Food was excellent, fresh, flavorful and huge portions! we would highly recommend...
