여수 출장시 또는 여행을 가서도 꼭 여기서 장어탕을 먹고 갑니다. 이 집에서 장어탕을 먹기 시작한 건 벌써 2년째입니다. 다만, 2ㅡ3개월에 한번씩 가다보니 서빙 하시는 분들과는 제대로 인사한 적이 없네요. 오늘도 처음 온 것처럼 느꼈습니다. 마직막 방문이 올해 가을로 기억하는데, 바닥에서 앉아 먹는 방식이 식탁의자에서 먹도록 인테리어를 다시 했더군요. 다행히 온돌방은 그대로 둬서 양말만 신고 있어도 발이 따뜻합니다. 사실 이 집에서 장어탕을 먹은건, 이 식당 옆에 산무인텔에서 숙박하면, 장어탕 식권을 줘서 방문을 했다가 그 맛에 반해서 제 돈 내고도 가끔 먹게 됩니다. 장어탕은 장어가 너무 많이 들어가 있어, 밥 없어도 배부를 듯 합니다. 숙주나물과 얼큰한 국물과 장어가 잘 어우러져서 맵지도 짜지도 느끼하지도 않은 맛있는 맛을 선사합니다. 밑반찬만 있어도 백반이 될 만큼 양념게장, 갓김치, 배추김치, 시금치 등등 모두모두 전라도...
