De Kañas — Restaurant in Álora

Very good food in Alora. One of two restaurants there I can wholeheartedly recommend. The food quality and taste was great, the service as well. The waiters actually took notice of the new customers and approached us very quickly, which is a rarity in this town. Then they attended to our every need. I ordered everything in my broken and dusty Spanish and the waitress was very patient and explained everything to me slowly and clearly.

The only downside is the menu. Nothing is explained, in the meat section there are various types of meats listed without mentioning the way they are prepared nor the side they come with. Not mentioning the lack of the allergens. For example: meat; chicken / pork / lamb. If they fix the menu so it's understandable for a newcomer, they will be a great...

The best about this place, is the time you leave it. Service was unfriendly, food was not good, the bill was wrong and everyone around us made this stay very unpleasant. People seem to not care at all about the environment and the look of the area around them, everyone kept on tossing their trash on the streets, what made the place look like a big dumping ground. ...

En primer lugar, llamamos para reservar mesa y nos dijeron que para 4 personas no reservaban. Tuvimos que esperar unos 10-15 minutos en la calle para coger mesa. Cuando nos sentamos en la mesa, la camarera además de ser un poco antipática (entendiendo que el local estaba lleno y tenían prisa), no se dirigió ni con un saludo cordial ni tampoco gracias. Para nuestra sorpresa además de meternos presión a la hora de elegir la comida, nos apuntó dos tapas que no habíamos pedido, y cuando nos las trajo, casi con exigencia, nos las tuvimos que comer. Otro punto muy negativo es que no tienen fanta ni coca cola normal, a parte, tampoco informan de ello cuando lo pides, te traen KAS y ya está. La comida estaba buena, pero creo que es importante especificar en la carta los precios concretos de cada tapa/ración ya que luego puedes llevarte una sorpresa como nos pasó con las gambas al pil pil, pensando que era una tapa nos pusieron dos raciones de 6'50€. Por supuesto nos cobraron esas dos tapas que no habíamos pedido. Malas caras durante toda la comida, discusiones entre las camareras y ni una vez gracias. Pues...
