My wife booked this place for a family dinner. According to the restaurant’s own webpage, on Fridays they are open until 20:00, with the kitchen closing one hour prior (see photos). Our reservation was for 18:30 — they confirmed it, confirmed it again, and even reminded us about the visit.
When we arrived a bit early, the staff told us they had cancelled the reservation because the kitchen was already closed. This was obviously untrue. Then the administrator simply turned her back on us without another word.
Fortunately, the Arinaga promenade has plenty of restaurants with good food and decent service. I honestly have no idea how Restaurante Faro de Arinaga is still in business, given their complete lack of basic manners and respect...

Recently we went, after the beach, wearing a dress, shirt, shorts, shoes (fully clothed). It was after lunchtime on a weekend. There were at least 6 empty large tables and we were asked if we had a reservation. No, we said. (We do speak Spanish.) A few minutes later the old man came out to tell us the whole terrace was reserved for ten minutes before. Dirty tables and all. They seem to hate anyone who isn’t dressed up to their standards. Although the cuttlefish black rice is their masterpiece, we went for sharers to taste more: creamy fish velouté soup, gigantic yet cheap portion of padròn peppers, fried cuttlefish and grilled vegetables were all mind-blowing choices. In particular, the cuttlefish and the pescado velouté soup are not easy to find in other restaurants! It took us a while to choose what to order, so I guess I'm saying it's worth another visit to taste the rest of the menu......
